The episode begins with a loud, sudden bang on the door of the cabin. Panic spreads among everyone except MK, who is zoned out, completely focused on stitching the last of her stab wounds. Bowie tries to get a look out of the window but fails to see anything. "Ugh, I can’t see properly," he mutters.
Without hesitation, Axel, who had been quiet up until now, opens the door in one swift motion, ready to fight the killer who has tormented them for so long. But instead of the killer—or even Scary Girl—it’s Chef.
Confessional - Axel:
"Chef?!"
Confessional - Damien:
"Chef??"
Confessional - Raj & Wayne:
"Chef!" They say in unison.
"Uh, Chef? What the fuck are you doing here? I thought you left with Chris," Julia says, confused.
Chef steps inside, a deep scar running down his face, one that wasn’t there before. "Listen, kids, I’ve been trying to find you this entire time. Chris refused to take me with him after I told him I wouldn’t leave without you all." Chef explains.
"Dayum, Chef, always knew you were a good one!" MK calls from the bed, still tending to her wounds.
Confessional - Chef:
"I see a significant number of campers missing..."
"Jesus, kid! What the hell happened to you?" Chef asks, noticing MK’s rough condition.
"The killer happened," MK responds, her voice almost detached. Julia looks down, her guilt bubbling up again, convinced this is all her fault.
Chef grimaces, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Yeah, he's a brutal one. I saw what he did to Ripper. Tried to save him... but uh, yeah, no. That’s how I got this ugly cut," Chef admits, pointing to his face.
"You watched Ripper die?!" Damien exclaims, horrified.
"Damien?! I thought you'd be dead by now!" Chef responds with a half-smirk, trying to lighten the mood.
Damien rolls his eyes. Bowie lets Chef fully into the cabin, and Raj quietly closes the door behind him. The tension in the room is thick, but for the first time in a while, they all collectively feel a small sense of relief. Chef is here. Maybe there's hope after all.
