Ethan and Lyra arrived at his mansion, and as they entered the grand living room, they were met with the sound of laughter and the glow of the TV. Ruckus and Bunker were sitting on the couch, watching a comedy show, and the only light in the room came from the screen.
Ethan announced their arrival,
"We're home!"
But Ruckus just groaned and Bunker teased him to calm down. Lyra couldn't see Whimsy anywhere and asked about him.
"Where's Whimsy?"
She asked, and Bunker replied,
"He's probably in his room, playing games as usual."
Lyra nodded and excused herself, leaving Ethan and his friends to their fun. As soon as she left, Ruckus and Bunker pounced on Ethan, dragging him to the couch.
"Come on, Ethan, watch the comedy with us!" they insisted.
Ethan tried to resist, but Ruckus and Bunker were relentless. They playfully pulled him down onto the couch, and Ruckus said,
"Tonight, we're going to have fun together, whether you like it or not!"
Bunker added,
"Yeah, no more being a spoilsport, Ethan!"
Ethan laughed and tried to defend himself, but Ruckus and Bunker were too strong.
As they watched the comedy show together, Ruckus confronted Ethan about not having fun with them.
"You're always so serious, Ethan. Tonight, we're going to change that!"
Ethan smiled and tried to relax, enjoying the laughter and camaraderie with his friends.
Despite initial reservations, Ethan found himself laughing along with Ruckus and Bunker. They teased him good-naturedly, and he playfully retaliated, feeling a sense of belonging and connection with his friends.
As the night wore on, Ethan realized that Ruckus and Bunker were right – he had been too serious lately. He was grateful for their friendship and the reminder to have fun and enjoy life.
Lyra entered Whimsy's room and found him sitting in front of his computer, looking solemn. She approached him and asked if he was alright.
Whimsy looked at the screen before him and then turned to Lyra, his eyes pleading for help.
"Lyra, I need your help,"
He said, his voice laced with desperation.
Lyra was taken aback by Whimsy's sudden request. She asked him what was wrong, and Whimsy explained everything to her. He told her about the tournament, his failures, and his desire to win. He begged Lyra to help him, promising that if he won, he would be free and awarded the best cyber in town.
Lyra listened intently to Whimsy's words, her heart going out to him. She wanted to help him, but she was scared to tell him that he would fail again. She didn't want to crush his spirits, but she also didn't want to give him false hope.
After a moment of hesitation, Lyra agreed to help Whimsy. She told him that she would do her best to assist him, but she also warned him that winning wouldn't be easy.
Whimsy's face lit up with gratitude, and he thanked Lyra profusely. Lyra smiled and told him that she would do everything in her power to help him win.
But then Lyra added,
"Whimsy, I have to tell you something. You will definitely make it the day you are aware of what is behind your failure."
Whimsy looked at her quizzically, unsure of what she meant.
