Ella saw Riana approaching and couldn't resist taking a jab at her.
"Well, well, well. Look who's here. Riana, the queen of drama,"
She said with a smirk.
Riana's eyes narrowed.
"Ella, you think you're so funny, don't you? But let me tell you, I'm not afraid of you or your little jokes."
Ella laughed.
"Oh, I'm shaking in my boots. But seriously, Riana, what's going on? You look like you've lost your last marble."
Riana's face twisted in anger.
"You think you're so clever, don't you? But let me tell you, Ella, I'm not the one who's afraid of a little competition."
Ella raised an eyebrow.
"Competition? You mean from Lyra? Ha! That girl is no competition for me."
Riana sneered.
"You're just mad because Lyra's getting more attention than you are. You're afraid she's going to take your place."
Ella laughed.
"Take my place? Please. I'm the queen of this school, and no one can take that away from me."
The girls continued to exchange words, their voices growing louder and more heated by the minute. It was clear that the tension between them was far from over. Lyra, who had been watching the exchange, finally intervened. "Hey, guys, let's not fight, okay?"
She said, trying to mediate the situation. But Ella and Riana were too far gone to listen.
Lyra knew that neither Ella nor Riana would win the beauty contest, but she didn't want to hurt their feelings by telling them. Instead, she decided to take a different approach.
"Hey, girls! Stop fighting!"
Lyra screamed to get their attention.
"This is ridiculous. You're both acting like children."
Ella and Riana turned to face Lyra, their faces red with anger.
"Mind your own business, Lyra,"
Ella snapped.
But Lyra stood her ground.
"I am minding my own business. I don't want to see either of you get hurt. And that's exactly what will happen if you keep stirring up scenes in this school."
Riana rolled her eyes.
"What do you know about it, Lyra? You're just a goody-goody who always follows the rules."
Lyra smiled sweetly.
"Maybe so, Riana. But at least I'm not wasting my time fighting with someone who's not even worth it."
Ella and Riana looked at each other, then back at Lyra. For a moment, they seemed taken aback by her words.
"Fine,"
Ella said finally.
"We'll stop fighting. But only because we have more important things to worry about."
Riana stormed off, her anger and frustration simmering just below the surface. She couldn't believe that Lyra had intervened and ruined her chance to confront Ella.
As she walked, Lyra's mind raced with thoughts of who could have stirred up her pictures online. She was determined to find out and put a stop to it.
Meanwhile, Ella was also seething with anger. She couldn't believe that Lyra had stood up to her and Riana, and she was determined to make her pay.
