Choi Seungcheol didn't leave Seventeen. No, that was too easy, too sweet of a statement.

He abandoned Seventeen.

And every single member of Seventeen hates him for the same. The hatred has grown every second they breathed in the place where Seungcheol lived with them, laughed with them.

He didn't simply leave; he left with their lives turned upside down, as a parting gift.

Also, he didn't just walk out of their lives but also everyone else's. He left Seoul, cut off all the contact. Even his family had no idea where he went off to. It's like he had vanished from the face of the Earth.

So, now for him to show up out of nowhere after three years?! That man has to have some guts. Yes, he didn't show up exactly but for someone who's been completely MIA for three fucking years, what he did is really close to it.

Nevertheless, Seungcheol has made a wrong move.

And Jeonghan personally wants to make that clear. He is going to throw the song right at Seungcheol's face like that man had thrown their years of friendship, years of togetherness at theirs.

As all the members and Bumzu set their feet on the land of Munsan-eup, a town of Paju in Gyeonggi-do, Jeonghan gets firmer in his decision of making Seungcheol regret it, regret all of it.

There's a chill in the air like it has rained a lot or will rain a lot. A harsh slap to his face by the wind causes him to halt, his resolve weakening as he stands at the gates of the place where Bumzu says Seungcheol lives. Now, he's not so sure he wants to do this, to come across that man again.

But he has to do this. He has to show he's not scared of his past. So, he moves past the iron gate, which creaks as he does. It is all rusted and slightly crooked and barely holding up. He doesn't look around, only looks forward with a mission in his mind. The house, if looked upon from a distance, is merely a spot and it is nothing huge up close either. Too much rain and the lack of maintenance has ruined its exteriors. They stop at the entrance of the house, the wooden door is wide open and Jeonghan feels like his heart is going to explode. He knows others feel the same.

A broad sturdy back comes into his line of vision and a knot in his chest tightens more. It's him. His throat feels dry, not a single word comes out of his mouth. As if on cue, something squeaks under someone's foot behind him.

"There you are-", He turns around at the sound. Jeonghan watches his breath getting hitched, feels it.

The sight of his once upon a time lover knocks the wind out of him.

Something intense rushes through Jeonghan's veins as he looks at Choi Seungcheol and is reminded of all the memories he buried in his past. He feels an overwhelming wave of emotions. No, he can't cry. He refuses to cry.

The man looks a bit older than he is supposed to. His eyes are sunken and their sparkle, nowhere to be found. His shoulders are slumped like he's carrying the weight of the world.

Bumzu breaks his inspection by hugging Seungcheol. Jeonghan feels a manic urge to do the same but he digs his feet to the ground. It can't be forgotten and forgiven, what's been done. Bumzu invites them inside. What is wrong with this guy?! Does this look like some kind of reunion to him?! As much as Jeonghan doesn't want to step in, having drama at someone's door, even if it's this man's, isn't his thing.

The house is better on the inside than one would've expected seeing the outside. Just a bit better. It is of decent size but with all of them there, it feels small. And it's also suffocating, really suffocating but Jeonghan is sure it isn't because of all of them. It's only because of one of them. No, not one of them. He isn't a part of them anymore.

"Hyung", There's the voice that used to be Jeonghan's favourite. There's the voice he hadn't heard in ages. As much as it used to be a melody in his ears in the past, now it pricks. Bad.

There's disquietude in his tone, in his eyes and Bumzu answers to that, "They recognized it was you. I didn't say anything".

They talk as if a top-secret has been revealed, as if Seungcheol would've accused Bumzu of betrayal if he hadn't immediately cleared his name.

Jeonghan realises the other doesn't want them here.

Like they want to be here, huh!

"Do you think we are stupid?!", He asks calmly but the feelings inside of him are anything but calm.

"I-"

"How dare you, Choi Seungcheol?!", Hoshi roars from beside Jeonghan.

Seungcheol is taken aback, visibly taken aback. Bumzu steps in, "He just sent a song, guys".

"Yes, how dare you?", Jeonghan keeps his eyes and questions directed to Seungcheol. The decibels in Jeonghan's tone have gone down, "You threw that life away. You closed the doors on our faces. How dare you knock on those doors now?"

"I...", Like Seungcheol changes his mind, "Okay, clearly it wasn't taken well by you guys. Just forget I ever sent one". His face hardens a bit.

"No, you did send one and we have rejected it. Actually, blacklisted it and we would get it blacklisted everywhere, if needed. Not only that but any work in your name-"

"There wouldn't be my name-"

"Like your name would do anything other than cause a chaos in the industry and the public. You are nothing but a taboo there. We would save everyone suffering by completely blacklisting you."

"That's a lot of effort you would put for me", Seungcheol's words fan the flames.

"Put to keep you away so that you don't come crawling back to us like you did this time", Jeonghan tastes the bitterness on his tongue before it makes its way out.

"Jeonghan!", Bumzu jumps in, clearly offended. Why is he offended when it should be the other person who, by the way, did get offended but it passed so quickly, it didn't give Jeonghan the satisfaction he needed.

Seungcheol and Bumzu exchange a look before the former is speaking again, "If that's all, you may-"

"Choi Seungcheol", A young voice cuts him off.

Jeonghan moves his gaze for the very first time after it has found Seungcheol to find a boy standing at the door, with frown lines and his lips sporting a pout.

"You forgot me or what?!"

"Yah! Where were you?", The strain completely leaves Seungcheol's voice, "Did you climb up the tree again?", There's a hint of anger but it's completely harmless, rather laced with a sweet, soft worry as he moves closer to the boy and dusts his clothes.

While Seungcheol does that, the boy looks around. His face slowly goes from confusion to recognition to happiness, extreme happiness and he starts jumping on his spot, "SEVENTEEN! SEVENTEEN!! SEVENTEEN!!!", His little hands curl around Seungcheol's skin at his biceps to catch his attention, "APPA, APPA, LOOK, SEVENTEEN!"
