The Summoning Hero

Chapter 15. First Rounds

Himiko smiled warmly as she watched Eri munch on her food that Mina was nice enough to get her. Himiko then gently reached out and started to pet her hair as her smile grew more and was almost motherly.

"Wow Himiko.. you look like a mom right now" said Mina.

Everyone then saw her all but glow at that "I wouldn't mind that" she said happily as Eri continued to sit in her lap and eat, not really paying attention to everyone since If she did, she'd see to many people in her opinion.

"You want to be a mom?" Said Ochako "I mean we all do, but you sound very excited for it".

"I am.. and I'd honestly be ok with never being a hero and just being a stay at home mom" said Himiko.

That shocked all the girls at the table as they stared at her, it was almost never heard of that someone would give up being a hero when in a hero school to be a mom.

"Really? Then why are you in the hero course?" Asked Momo.

"To be with Izuku and help him, he saved me when I was at my lowest and I owe him my life.. so I'd do anything to protect him and I'd more than happily give him a family since.." Himiko then gently touched her stomach with her hand. "I've always wanted to be a mom.. having a couple kids and getting to see the man I love come home everyday to my arms as we raise a family".

The smile on Himikos face grew even more and it was almost infectious for how warm it was.

"I'd love that more than anything" Himiko said with her smile somehow growing more.

None of the girls knew how to describe it, but now a small part of them wondered what that life would be like.

Staying at home and raising the kids and taking care of the house, then your husband comes home to your open arms showing he missed you and the kids.

"That... actually sounds kinda nice.." said Ochako feeling conflicted right now given she'd like to be a mom, but at the same time, she wants to help her parents have a easy life and she couldn't provide that as easily if she was a stay at home mom or even a mom in general.

"It's what I'd like, but I'm ok with waiting for now, besides" Himiko said as she gently hugged Eri from behind "I have Eri right here and that gives me the feeling of being one".

Eri listened to all of this and was silently wondering what a mom was and why Himiko became even nicer than before when mentioned about it.

Izuku was completely shocked as he stared at Kaina and didn't know what to say, it's been years since he's last seen her, years before he even met Himiko.

"K-kaina" he said again as small tears welled up in his eyes at seeing her for the first time in almost a decade.

"Hello Izuku" she said softly as she stood up and slowly walked towards him as he continued to stare at her and once close enough, she gently hugged with his head being next to hers given how tall he was now. "I missed you and it's good to see you".

Izuku didn't say anything, he couldn't as he was completely overwhelmed with emotions and thoughts, all he could do was slowly wrap his arms around her and gently hold her as tears threatened to come out.

"Why?" Was all Izuku said as he hugged her tighter.

"... I can't say right now.. all I'll say is that it was to protect you and everyone else" she said as she knew what he was referring to.

They stayed like this for a couple minutes before Izuku finally let her go and looked at her "your hair is shorter" he said gesturing to her hair that was just past her ears since the association is finally letting her hair get longer.
