Teagan only gave her husband a feigned confused look. "What are you talking about? What is it that I would be thinking about?"
"You know damn well what it is that I'm talking about. Do you honestly believe that you are being cute right now? Because I know that you are playing dumb, making an attempt to cover up the fact that the wheels are turning in your head. So, whatever it is that you've got planned in that little mind of yours, I would stop thinking about it now...before you successfully get yourself in trouble," Nick said.
"You are afraid to let me out of your sight, because you're afraid that I would go and tell anyone who is willing to listen to me, when I say that Sheriff Goode isn't that good; and he abuses his wife and is highly controlling of her. That's why you don't want me going back to Shadyside High School. People will figure it out for themselves eventually. They aren't as dumb as you make them out to be," Teagan defended.
"If the people of Shadyside were so damn smart, then why is Shadyside still being plagued from a witch who was executed in 1666? Why do the people of Shadyside still live with the bad luck that has plagued them for 328 years? You think they would be sick of all that by now? Yet they don't do anything. If it was Sunnyvale, that curse would be gone before it had time to get a grip on the town. Don't worry though baby, you made the right choice by choosing to leave Shadyside, the moment you agreed to become my wife," Nick said.
"You didn't leave me much of a choice with that. You made it perfectly clear that if I didn't accept your marriage proposal, that you would go and make my life a living hell. I didn't feel like finding out what else you had in store for me, should I have gone and disobeyed you," Teagan replied.
"Let's not fight baby. Let's enjoy the game together and show our support for our team. They could use all the cheerleaders they could get," Nick said while quickly trying to diffuse the situation at hand.
Teagan saw what Nick was trying to do, but wasn't willing to allow the argument to end that easily. Teagan was royally miffed with Nick for talking so low about any part of Shadyside. Just because she no longer lived there, doesn't mean that Shadyside wasn't part of her. Teagan was always looking for little ways to always honor Shadyside in everything that she did. Even if there were times when her darling husband would figure out what she was doing, and grew annoyed by it; Teagan wasn't going to stop. It was the only way that she was able to experience a little bit of happiness. The only way that she could honor the one that she still loves, that she lost all those years ago, back in 1978.
Nick wasn't stupid. He always picked up on her little annoying rituals. He always did hate the way that she would find ways to honor the life that she felt was stolen from her.
Why can't my darling wife see that I did her a huge favor? If it wasn't for me, Teagan would be suffering in the cursed town that she was born in. People would be talking about her death as it would be playing all over the damn news Though the people in Sunnyvale wouldn't think to bat an eyelash at that. We're always used to hearing about bad news whenever something bad happens in Shadyside. That's just their damn luck. Teagan should learn to be a bit more grateful that she lives in a safe community where there are no constant worries of murder sprees. I'm just going to have to be a bit firmer with her to help her forget about the person that she thinks she's still in love with," Nick thought to himself.
"What game are you playing Nick," Teagan asked in a skeptical tone.
Nick sighed. "I'm not playing any game. You and I are married. I don't want to be fighting with you all of the time. Why can't we try and give our marriage a go? No being rude to one another, no being mean, no more fighting between us. Are you willing to play nice in this marriage with me?"
"I'll play nice with you. But you have to do something for me in return," Teagan said.
"Anything you want. Just tell me what it is and I can make it happen for you," Nick said.
"I want you to be honest with me. Because I feel that you are hiding something from me," Teagan said.
"What on earth would I be hiding from you? You're my wife. Our marriage should be built on trust, love, loyalty and devotion. Why would I hide anything from you," Nick asked feeling a bit on edge now.
"Why did you chase me around, asking me to marry you, and you not giving up until you finally got the answer you wanted? Why didn't you ask Ziggy Berman to be your wife? Surely you would have been happy with her right now. Who knows, maybe the two of you would have had a baby together by now, if you had married her," Teagan said causing Nick to roll his eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me. I saw how happy the two of you were together, while you would hang out at camp Night Wing. Why didn't you go for her after that night? Surely you still want Ziggy by your side? Be honest with me, Nick."
"You want the honest truth, then here it is baby. The only reason I got close to Ziggy Berman at camp Night Wing, is because she was a distraction from the girl that I really wanted. The girl I truly wanted was with someone else, carrying his baby. My parents always told me to never go and destroy someone else's relationship, just so I could be happy. So, all I could do at the time was watch from a distance as the guy who had my woman, watching him kiss her, hold her and imagine him doing the things that only I'm meant to do with her. It was making me miserable to watch. That's why I chose to use Ziggy. She was only a distraction for me," Nick confessed.
"Was Ziggy aware that you were playing with her feelings," Teagan asked.
"You don't have to worry about that. All you have to worry about is starting off new, making our marriage work and allow me to make you the happiest woman in the world," Nick said.
"You can start by going to my boss at Shadyside High, and tell them that I would like my job back," Teagan said.
"Not going to happen. You know I don't want to risk anything happening to you again, Nick said before he received a call about an accident that too place. "Looks like you already have a new job to replace your old boring teaching job you had before. Congratulations wifey, you are going to assist me while I go and investigate a crash. Let's get a move on," Nick said as he led Teagan to his car, getting in with her, before making their way to the scene of the accident while Teagan remained silent the whole time.
Upon arriving at the scene of the crime, Teagan noticed Deena kneeling next to a semi battered looking Sam, whose nose was bleeding.
The moment Nick parked the car, Teagan jumped out of the car making her way over to Deena and Sam, while Nick walked over questioning Pete, Kate and Simon as to what happened.
Teagan kneeled down, inspecting both Deena and Sam. "What the hell happened?"
"We were on our way back home, when suddenly we were being chased down by Peter, Sam and his friends. So, we tried to scare them by dumping water on them, but I lost my grip on the cooler, due to a bloody nose. And the water cooler hit the car, causing Peter to lose control. I'm screwed, aren't I," Deena asked Teagan.
