The next day, after their intense make-out session, everything seemed to change between Jungkook and Taehyung. Jungkook, who had always been cold and distant in public, suddenly became much more open—especially when it came to Taehyung.

Wherever Taehyung went, Jungkook was by his side, his presence commanding and protective. It was as if Jungkook had made an unspoken decision to watch over Taehyung, never letting him out of sight. In the crowded hallways of the school, in the cafeteria, and even during breaks, Jungkook was always there, walking close to Taehyung. His arm would often brush against Taehyung's shoulder, a silent reassurance that he was there.

Taehyung could feel the shift, too. At first, he was surprised by Jungkook's newfound protectiveness, unsure of how to react. But soon, it became clear why. Whenever Jungkook was around, the bullies—who had once taunted and harassed Taehyung without mercy—fell silent. Their cruel whispers died in their throats the moment Jungkook appeared beside him. No one dared to attack or humiliate Taehyung with Jungkook glaring at them, his presence alone a warning not to even think about it.

Jungkook's intimidating reputation among the students meant that no one wanted to cross him, especially when it came to Taehyung. His bad-boy image and cold demeanor, once a source of mystery, now worked in Taehyung's favor, shielding him from the hate he had been facing.

It wasn't just the bullies who noticed either. Everyone could see the change—Jungkook, the notorious loner, suddenly becoming attached to someone. And not just anyone, but Taehyung, the boy who had been a target for so long. Whispers began circulating, but no one dared to say a word directly to Taehyung or Jungkook.

Taehyung couldn't help but feel a mixture of gratitude and confusion. Jungkook's protectiveness was comforting, but it also made Taehyung wonder just how deeply Jungkook's feelings for him ran. Whatever the reason, though, Taehyung felt safer than he had in a long time. With Jungkook by his side, no one could touch him.

On the rugby field during practice, Jungkook was preparing himself for another round of drills when Yoongi, one of the few people Jungkook was actually close to, came over and casually greeted him.

"Hey, Jungkook," Yoongi started, his tone light. "I've been meaning to ask you something."

Jungkook gave him a brief glance, already feeling his defenses rising. He had noticed the stares from people ever since he had started hanging around Taehyung more openly. The last thing he needed was someone, even Yoongi, trying to mess with Taehyung.

"What is it?" Jungkook replied coolly, keeping his voice neutral.

Yoongi smirked but didn't hesitate. "So, you and Taehyung, huh?"

Jungkook's jaw tightened, and he felt a flare of anger in his chest. His first instinct was to defend Taehyung—assuming Yoongi was about to say something nasty or make fun of their relationship. "If you're going to start something, Yoongi, don't," Jungkook warned, his voice turning cold. "Taehyung's not someone you get to mess with."

But Yoongi simply raised his hands in mock surrender, a calm smile still on his face. "Whoa, calm down, Jungkook. I'm not here to give you a hard time."

Jungkook furrowed his brow, confused by Yoongi's unexpected reaction. "Then what?" he asked, his guard still up.

Yoongi gave a small shrug, his eyes softening. "Look, I wasn't going to say anything bad. Actually, I think it's good—you and Taehyung."

Jungkook blinked, surprised by Yoongi's words.

"Taehyung's a good guy," Yoongi continued, his tone genuine. "You probably already know that. He deserves someone who treats him well, and honestly, I think you're that person."
