Time passed quickly, and it had been six months since Jungkook proposed to Taehyung. They were now enjoying their semester break, but rather than relaxing, Jungkook was busy proving himself to his father. He was determined to show that he could successfully manage the family business and bring in significant profits.
Jungkook had been hard at work, and the results were impressive. In just six months, he managed to secure numerous clients and double the company's profits, much to his father's surprise and pride. He had poured his heart and soul into the job, learning everything he could about the business while juggling his studies.
One evening, after a long day at the office, Jungkook returned to their apartment, his tie loosened and his shirt sleeves rolled up. He entered to find Taehyung lounging on the couch, a notebook in his lap, reviewing lines for his upcoming acting role. The sight of Taehyung brought a smile to Jungkook's face, instantly lifting his spirits.
"Hey, superstar," Jungkook greeted, dropping his briefcase by the door and walking over to Taehyung.
"Hey!" Taehyung looked up, his face lighting up. "How was work today?"
"Tiring, but good. We landed a new client, and I think this one will really boost our numbers even more!" Jungkook exclaimed, his excitement palpable.
Taehyung put his notebook aside and sat up, genuinely proud. "That's amazing! You're really killing it, Jungkook! I knew you could do it!"
Jungkook grinned, running a hand through his hair. "It feels great to finally prove myself. I just hope my dad recognizes how much effort I'm putting in."
"I'm sure he will," Taehyung reassured him. "You've accomplished so much in such a short time. It's impressive!"
Jungkook walked over and sat beside Taehyung, pulling him close. "Thanks for always supporting me, Tae. I couldn't have done this without you pushing me to believe in myself."
Taehyung smiled softly, resting his head on Jungkook's shoulder. "And I'll always be here for you. Just like you've been there for me with my acting career. We're a team, right?"
"Absolutely," Jungkook replied, feeling grateful for their bond. "By the way, how's your rehearsals going?"
"They're going well! I'm really excited about this role," Taehyung said, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "It's a challenging character, but I feel like I'm growing with each performance."
Jungkook watched Taehyung's animated expressions as he talked about his acting, feeling a swell of affection. "I can't wait to see you shine on stage. Just promise me one thing."
"What's that?" Taehyung asked, tilting his head.
"Don't forget about our wedding planning in the midst of all this," Jungkook teased, a playful smirk on his face.
Taehyung laughed, nudging Jungkook playfully. "How could I forget? You're the one who proposed!"
Jungkook's expression softened. "I meant it when I said I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I just want everything to be perfect."
Taehyung smiled warmly, feeling a flutter in his heart. "It will be perfect, as long as we're together."
They shared a moment of comfortable silence, both lost in their thoughts of the future. The excitement of what lay ahead—Jungkook's burgeoning career, Taehyung's blossoming acting ambitions, and their shared dream of a life together—filled the room with warmth.
Jungkook then changed the subject, pulling out a folder from his briefcase. "Oh, I almost forgot. I got us tickets to that play you wanted to see. It's next week!"
