"He was so dirty I almost threw him inside the washing machine. I could have used the opportunity to give him some softener at least! Hahahaha!"
"Yes, yes. When we got home, I had to scrub his face and his arms a lot, but later it felt like I had never seen him so clean! Hahahaha!"
Mrs. Feng and Mrs. Mu were talking about the outcome of the food war from yesterday, while little Feng Xin and little Mu Qin were competing for who would take off their shoes and bag first to get to the play area. Suddenly, they started wrestling on the floor. The moms were friends since long and they liked teacher Xie Lian a lot, so they showed up today to comment on yesterday, but not angrily, just laughing it all off.
"Oh, look at that, they're already loving each other," Mrs Feng said.
"No, mom! I hate him! I wanna change school!" Feng Xin replied, pulling Mu Qing's arm.
"Please, kill me, I can't stand him any longer," Mu Qing let out from underneath Feng Xin.
The two moms laughed once more and turned to leave.
Mrs. Feng said bye first. "There you go, teacher Xie. They're all yours. Good luck! Bye, darling Xin, see you later."
Next, Mrs. Mu commented, "Bye, cutie pie."
"I'm not cutie! I hate you!" Mu Qing screamed back.
Hua Cheng let out an evil laugh and moved in their direction. "Let's go, you two, stop. Get your things ready for class," he said, and then encouraged Mu Qing to stand. When closer, he gently whispered at the kid's ear, "Don't say you hate your mom, cutie pie, or I'm gonna have to call you that forever."
Mu Qing ran away, horrified, pulling Feng Xin by the arm.
Xie Lian didn't hear what was said, so he only sighed and rubbed his eyes. He arrived some minutes later than usual since his night had been a mess. He was still feeling like a mess. When he got to the school today, Hua Cheng and one child were already there.
"Pei Su arrived very early today", the assistant commented as if it was weird.
"Yeah, this happens sometimes. I've never seen his parents, but he often pops up over an hour before the class time," Xie Lian replied, stretching and yawning.
Noticing the low energy, Hua Cheng asked, "so, could you rest, Gege?"
Xie Lian didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. He just showed a little smile and replied, "not exactly." He had no time to elaborate further because that was about the time when the Feng and Mu moms arrived.
After them, a flood of parents continued to come. Maybe Kemo contacted them? Maybe it was because yesterday the class was interrupted at an unusual time? Some parents definitely came to complain to Kemo, or even to the main director.
Jian Lan's and Xuan Ji's moms were horrified, as were the daughters, timidly still holding onto their moms.
"Lanlan's hair, normally so soft and silky, was covered in purple juice! I thought it was gonna get stained, since the juice smelled so cheap!"
"Yikes! That's literally disgusting. Also Jiji's tiny nails had something stuck underneath, I think it seemed like cake or cookie."
"Or maybe it was poop! Hehehe," Qi Rong's older brother commented on his way out after pushing his little guy in.
The two ladies shot deadly looks at his direction and immediately went to look for Kemo, Hua Cheng showed them the way. The vice-director, however, was already busy talking to Banyue's parents, and Lang Qianqiu's mom was in line.
