Blue Lions classroom
Dimitri saw Sasuke enter the classroom and couldn't help but notice he had a peaceful look on his face, much more peaceful than the day before. It was a kind of look he had never seen, a contentment he didn't need to ask about to know what happened last night.
Sonia was next to him, looking at Sasuke curiously.
"His body language suggests he is happy and nervous," Sonia said, observing Sasuke.
"Of course he would be nervous. He met Mercedes's mom. I would too, considering, for a Uchiha, first impressions are everything," said Sylvain.
"what do you mean?" Sonia asked.
"Family is everything in the Uchiha clan, and making a good first impression is essential for a potential spouse," Neji answered.
"Makes sense. Doesn't sound much different from how we do things in Faerghus," Sylvain replied.
"'I'm starting to see why Sasuke chose this house, considering how much his values align with yours,'" Neji said observantly.
" I can't help but find it sad that an entire culture was destroyed in a single night," Sonia said, commenting on the Uchiha clan massacre which she had learned about the day prior.
"Did our loverboy confess to Mercedes?" asked Felix, who had just arrived at the table.
"Sylvain said, "I still think Mercedes confessed first.""
"Highly unlikely, it was definitely Sasuke," said Felix.
"Really, it shouldn't matter. The tender moments between those two are none of our concern." Dedue said, respecting Sasuke and Mercedes's privacy.
"Isn't it Sasuke's birthday in 2 days?" asked Felix.
"Let's throw a surprise party for him. We should talk to Naruto. He may know what to do, after all, they are friends," said Annette, who had just sat at the table next to her boyfriend.
"Sorry, I can't help but see that I'm sorry if this comes a little too forward. Are you two dating?" Sonia asked awkwardly.
"Yeah, well." Annette was struggling to form a proper sentence.
"Sonia, you should be more careful about the kind of questions you ask people," said Yuri teasingly.
"Sorry, I may be acting improperly. I'm new to this many people. It's overwhelming," Sonia said, apologizing to Annette and Felix.
"Really, it's not a problem. At least she's not as bad as her brother," Sylvan joked.
"What do you mean not as bad as my brother?"Sonia said, stuttering, barely able to get the words out.
"Your brother, when he first came to the monastery, had difficulties communicating with people. I mean it's a miracle he could teach as well as he did, considering how socially awkward he was and borderline antisocial." Sylvan.
"Come on, he couldn't be that bad?" said Sonia.
"Though to be fair, Marianne wasn't much different than him in that regard. In fact, he's still a little socially awkward, except when it comes to her. I don't know who he's fooling, thinking he's trying to hide that." Before Sylvain could say anymore, he was elbowed by Felix.
"Come on, really?" Sylvain said, faking pain.
"Whatever the Black Eagles professor does is none of our concern," Felix said, annoyed.
"While I may not know the most about social norms, I do know that it's not socially acceptable for a professor to be involved with his students. You don't have an issue with it?" asked Sonia, confused.
