"I'm scared mother, I don't know where I am, where are we?" Sitri said scared.
There were no words she could form in her mouth. This couldn't be. Then she looked at the chalice. It crumbled to dust. Thousands of years in existence, and it crumbled just like that, as if it never existed. Even her own mother never used it to bring back her father, an object of unknown origin, just gone. All that remained was dust. The words couldn't form out of her mouth, no matter how hard she wanted to. She still couldn't believe it. It had to be a dream; there's no way this was real. Her mind must be playing tricks on her. She didn't dare hope after 20 years of regrets for never spending enough time with her child. The child she's holding in her arms is her daughter's voice that brought her back to reality.
" My children, are they safe?" Sitri asked her of course the first thing that was on her mind were her tried to look around but she couldn't see anything. Obviously her vision would return to her in time her daughter was confused she could not have anyone seeing them at this state.
"All of you leave now." Rhea ordered everyone left one by one until only her grandchildren remained. They were about to leave as well before her voice stopped them.
"No you two can stay."she said softer her grandchildren had no idea what to do or what to say then again she had no idea what to do or what to say so much left unsaid to her mother to her daughter so many lies she's tired of it all.
"How long has it been, mother? How long have I been dead?" Sitri asked, dreading the answer. How could she tell her daughter? She didn't even want to think about it because it would cause her to relive one of her most painful memories of her life. She wanted to, for the moment, forget about that awful day. She didn't even want to think about it.
"I'll tell you later; let's get you a room." Rhea said with a smile that she hadn't had in a long time. She didn't want to relive that awful day; she didn't even want to think about it. She looked where Aelfric was-the price he had paid to bring her daughter back-was a price she wasn't willing to pay for her own mother. The fear of Oblivion.
The chalice of beginnings couldn't be used more than once. She was glad it was destroyed; such a powerful object should never have existed. But she was grateful for it. She was given a second chance by the man who had caused all this havoc to bring her child back. He paid the ultimate price, and she would not let his sacrifice be in vain.
Byleth lifted his mother up, yes, she would let him carry her. Sonia looked at her with a mixture of emotions; she has a lot to answer for, but she can enjoy this moment. She has her child again, and there's nothing in the world that will stop her from protecting her, even if she has to burn the entire world to the ground. She would never lose her child again.
Her granddaughter, Sonia, helped her up. She felt weak and was barely able to walk.
"Let me get help, I'll be right back," she said, as she went ahead. She had a lot to think about, so much that she had to explain her daughter, her son-in-law, and her grandchildren. "How would she know?" she thought to herself. "She would focus on one day at a time," she decided. "The one thing that she wishes she would have heard from her mother was the advice of appreciating the small moments." A bit later, Seteth, who wasn't that far behind, knew that she would need help. He was by Sonia's side in no time, lifting her up and taking her to one of the quarters across from hers. He knew that she wouldn't want anyone but her daughter there. She wanted her granddaughter to have the best quarters, feeling like she deserved a quiet place to rest after a long ordeal.
She was placed gently on her bed by Seteth before Sonia left the room. She wanted to speak to her to get her to understand.
"Sonia, do you think you could give me a bit of your time?" Rhea asked. Sonia hesitated; she doesn't know if she deserves this girl's time, but she feels like she deserves to know the reason she did what she did.
