Chapter 7

Miles 

"What, tell me he's joking" James said, staring at Evelyn. No one said anything, no one knew what to say. "James" a voice said, we all turned to see who it was, it was Jack. "I need you to help me with... something" he said, James stood up and they quickly walked out of the cafeteria. 

Evelyn and James were the perfect couple, they had been together for 2 years, they were in love or well everyone thought they were. I never thought Evelyn would do something like this. 

Evelyn sat there looking stunned, "What the fuck, Evelyn" Mia one of Evelyns friends said. "I.. I never meant for this to happen, it was a mistake, I was drunk," Evelyn said her voice weak. 

"What?" Someone said from behind us. It was Lilly Young, the girl Evelyn had kissed. "It didn't mean anything, you know that," Evelyn said, glaring at her. Lilly ran off with tears in her eyes. Evelyn got up and walked off in the oppisite direction.

The rest of the day was very strange. All of our friends were awkward with each other, no one knew what to say and Evelyn and James had disappeared. 

When the bell finally rang, I left as quickly as I could, I wanted to go over to see James and see if he was okay. I knew he loved Evelyn a lot and this would hit him really hard. 

Jack 

After we got home, I got all of the ice cream and we sat on the couch watching a load of movies. James hadn't cried or reacted at all, it was like this was a normal day just with an abnormal amount of ice cream.

"I'm gonna go and take a nap" James said while standing up. I nodded and decided to watch some more movies in the living room by myself. 

An hour later I heard the doorbell ring, I got up to answer it, wondering who would be here. I was praying it wasn't Evelyn or Lilly. 

"Oh, uh hi" I said when I opened the door and saw Miles standing there. "Hi" he said. "I just wanted to see if James was alright". "Oh, he's sleeping right now, but uh come in" I said awkwardly. 

We went into the living room and sat awkwardly beside each other. "So, how are you?" he asked. I stared at him. "I'm okay, what about you". "Yeah... yeah, I'm good" he responded. 

"Are you feeling better, from the other night you know when...." he trailed off. "Yeah... yeah" I mumbled, I hated talking about it. 

"I know that you didn't want me to tell James but I needed to I'm sorry" he stammered. "its okay, I understand why you had to tell him" I quietly remarked. We sat in silence for a few moments. 

I looked over at him and saw that he was already looking at me. God his eyes were gorgeous, they were so deep and looked so full of life, unlike my eyes, which were dull and empty. my eyes trailed down to his lips, they were parted slightly. 

"Jack" he whispered. I looked up and met his eyes. It was like we were moving in slow motion we both leaned in at the same time and our lips met. 

It was bliss. 

Pure bliss. 

It felt so right, our lips moving in time. We started to get more comfortable and we picked up the pace. He moved his hand to rest on my cheek, his other one was in my hair, playing with it. My hands were around his neck. 

We were now laying on the couch, him on top of me. I didn't know how long we had been kissing and I didn't care. I never wanted it to end. 

I felt him pull away from me. The look on his face was one I'd never forget, it was regret. He regrted kissing me. God how could I be so stupid, he would never like someone like me. 

"Im so sorry, I have to go, Im sorry" He rushed out, he got up of the couch quickly before running out the door. I felt tears in my eyes and before I knew it I was sobbing.

Miles 

Oh god, what have I done, I shouldn't have left, he looked devastated. I hurt him. 

I ruined a perfect moment because I got nervous, god I'm so stupid.

AHH they kissed!! What do you think is gonna happen next? 

Sorry I missed Fridays update I been very busy this week. 

Most of the songs I put in the chapters will probably have no meaning, I just like them.
