SCARLETT

If they hadn't held my hands behind me, I would have tackled Darren. There was no way I had the stretch to do so but his words infuriated me. I knew it was only a matter of time before my past caught up to me. Leaving that memory behind me was all I ever wanted. I already had the fear engraved into my mind that the child inside me could quite possibly be my father's or Nathaniel's. The thought of that now made bile rise in my throat. Before I could stop it, I was vomiting onto the ground. It took a minute for the nausea to pass but once it did, I immediately took notice of my father crouching down in front of me with a devilish grin. He knew. And I knew he would use that against me.

"Hmm. Now this can only mean two things, my dear Scar. The question now is if I decide whether or not you keep that–that thing." He snickered.

Before I could even blink, Xavier was lunging at my father with such ferocity I hadn't seen before. It was like a humanity switch clicked off. He was holding my father with his own 9mm since ours had been confiscated when we were grabbed. My father was smirking as if he wasn't fazed by the gun pressing up against his forehead.

Feeling cold metal against the back of my head, I let out a cry as my hair was yanked back, forcing me to look up at the darkening sky. The back of my head was throbbing with burning pain at the tension. From the angle the man held my head, I could hardly see Xavier from my peripheral vision. Attempting to move away only resulted in more pain to my scalp.

"I'd think twice about pulling the trigger, boy. Unless you want your precious possession blown to bits. But I would rather her breathing for what I have planned." My father sneered.

Xavier forced my fathers head into the dirt as he stood, throwing the gun onto the ground. Within seconds he was grabbed by my fathers men. The butt of a gun colliding into his abdomen on the way to his feet. Xavier let out a grunt as he doubled over in pain. With no time to recover, one of my fathers men swung their steel-toed boot into his abdomen. Anger flared in my chest as I pulled against the strong hands that held me in place. Only their grip was too firm, forcing me to stay where I was.

"You son of a bitch! This is between the three of us! Let Xavier go!" I screamed, still struggling against the men that held me in their grasp.

"Oh, but this has everything to do with him, my dear. Xavier and I have business to discuss " My father grinned as he straightened himself out. "Shall we?" He gestured towards the shop, still grinning.

"Stop! Stop it! Let them go!" I screamed as my father jammed the cattle prod into Xavier's side for the dozenth time.

"It just isn't that simple, Scarlett. Which is why I have someone to help make things simpler for you."

He gestured towards a man leaning against the wall. I hadn't noticed him until now but the second I saw his devilish grin, I knew who he was. The man that tried to kidnap me in a parking lot and then later stabbed me at the safehouse Remembering those events only sent pain where the hardly healed gigantic scar was on my side. I hardly realized tears were forming in my eyes at the flashbacks until my father was in front of me, using his thumb to roughly wipe the tears from my face. I grimaced in response, not wanting this monster to touch me anymore than he already has.

"Oh, don't worry, Scar. What I have planned is for your own good. You have a big decision to make, which puts the lives of Xavier and Caleb in your hands. Would you like to know what those options are?" He smirked as he lowered the cattle prod down near Caleb's head. "Or I can fry your side piece's brains out. I'm sure Zayn wouldn't mind losing some competition."

"Go to Hell! You know damn well this isn't what I want!" Zayn spat.

"Oh, I know. I just don't care. This is Scarlett's decision. So don't rush her." He paused to look at me. "Come on now girly. What's it going to be? Baby Daddy, or the Side Piece? You have to choose one before I tell you your options or I'll pick and we both know how that'll end."

"Like Zayn said. I've stopped playing your sick games so you can go straight to Hell."

My father snickered. "Well I've already chosen for you. Now why don't I just tell you what I have planned so we can move on without lives? Hector, come here."

Glancing down at Xavier, he was laying on the crown, groaning in pain. He was hardly conscious, still out of it from the blitz attack from behind as soon as we were dragged into the shop. Caleb was in the same state but at least his eyes were open and he was still trying to pull free from the ropes that bound him from behind. He was groaning and mumbling words but they were too inaudible from the gag that covered his mouth.

My father had mine and Zayn's wrists shackled to rusty pipes that were barely stable enough to hold our weight combined. Not that it mattered. I wasn't counting on being stuck that much longer with whatever my father had planned. I wasn't thrilled for what was to come but I had a feeling my father was.

"So my Dear. You have two choices." He paused as Hector walked up beside him, pulling a syringe from his front pocket. "One, Hector gives you this lovely shot of oxytocin to get rid of the creature inside of you–"

"–Go to Hell! That does nothing for you!" I screamed, desperately trying to pull out of the cuffs.

My father laughed as he took a step forward. The urge to kick him quickly replaced with pain as he slammed The cattle prod into my stomach. An uncontrollable scream left my lips as pain coursed through my entire body. It was agony as he held the prod against my skin, forcing my body to convulse uncontrollably. Tears streamed down my cheeks as the pain became unbearable and I found myself hardly able to keep my eyes open.

"Enough! You'll kill her!" Zayn exclaimed as the pain continued to course through my body even after my father removed the cattle prod from my abdomen.

"Oh relax, boy. It's not her I'm trying to get rid of."

Xavier stirred, causing my father to walk over to him, holding a switchblade to his throat. Xavier groaned and stiffened as the blade cut into his neck.

"Now, to option two. You'll do option one willingly or I'll kill Loverboy and force you to do option one anyways. You have ten seconds to decide or I'll slice his throat open."
