Appearance
In Bayonetta 1 and 2 it has the appearance of a turquoise butterfly shaped bracelet with gold adornments. In the middle lies a circle with several red teardrop shaped gems around a diamond coloured circle. On the tips of the wings are charms with red tassels hanging from them. In the third game it becomes an earing that has the same design but gains a red ribbon with a turquoise stone to attach to the ear. It also has design traits of Tibetan accessories.
Description
Bayonetta 1:
"It is said that long ago, the witch Turandot crafted this treasure while in the service of the Queen of Lhasa, hoping that the butterfly would give users divine protection. Butterflies of Protection flutter around the bracelet's user, absorbing attacks on their behalf before breaking up."
Bayonetta 3:
"A treasure crafted long ago by the witch Turandot, servant and protector of the Queen of Lhasa. It uses the wearer's magic energy to give divine protection, creating butterflies that flutter around them absorbing attacks on their behalf before breaking up. Its shape is not fixed, and it is known to change into a variety of forms, such as an earring or bracelet, to adapt to the wearer's combat garb and fighting style."
Usage
The accessory is used by holding the punch and kick buttons. It requires a minimum of four magic orbs to activate. Once activated, Pulley's Butterfly will summon a small rabble of glowing butterflies, four in total. As long as the butterflies are active, they will each absorb one attack each for Bayonetta until they are all destroyed, preventing the next four attacks that would deal damage to her.

The witch Turandot was a princess in an opera of the same name. She was known for killing every prince that attempted to marry her. In order to avoid marriage she asked three questions that would result in death if answered incorrectly. Lhasa which is a city in southwest China.
