After school on Friday, I met Two-Bit right outside the school doors.
"Oh, you actually showed up!" He said.
"What? Last girls you talked to never showed up for your date?" I said, mocking a frown.
"So this is a date?" He said with a big smile.
"I like to think it is, and I know you do, too," I responded back. He laughed and looked down shyly.
"Let's go. We can meet some of my friends at the DX," he said motioning towards the street to start walking. We laughed a lot and got dirty looks from Socs but it was fun.
When we got to the DX, there were two pretty cute boys there. I'm guessing they were his friends.
"Anna, here's Steve and Sodapop," he said motioning to them.
"Ponyboy, Two-Bit, Sodapop... These names are very original. I like it!" I said laughing and they actually laughed, too.
"I'm Ponyboy's big brother," Sodapop said with a grin that was very attractive and he seems like he must get all the girls falling for him.
"So this is the girl, aye?" Steve said smirking at Two-Bit.
"Yeah, she's hilarious! I never knew I would find someone funnier than me!" He said laughing. He kept laughing. He was always laughing! I loved it! I fell in love with his laugh.

We hung around the Curtis house. I got to meet the boys and we had a good time. We didn't end up going anywhere that night, but I had fun just hanging and talking to Two-Bit. Towards the end of the night, I laid down next to him while he put his arm around me. Everyone told stories and jokes and we just had a good time with each other. I never had that type of relationship with anyone back at my old home. I laid in Two's arms and I felt protected.
I got to know Johnny and Dallas better, considering the impression they left one me the first time we met. Dallas apologized a little and he did turn out to be a pretty cool guy. Johnny seemed to open up a little, too.
Two-Bit offered to drive me home after it got pretty late. As we drove we didn't really talk, but it wasn't awkward. It was like we still understood each other's sense of humor without using words.
It was the best night ever.
