Half of the week past by. I saw Two in the halls and smiled. Every time he looked at me I would see his bright, happy smile and his gray eyes would light up. It gave me that warm feeling that I actually made someone feel that way. I might be too dramatic about this.

My mom apparently left last weekend for work. She didn't tell us why or how long. It's Wednesday night, and she's still not back. My dad also hasn't been hanging around the house like usual. I was sitting in bed finishing the last bit of my homework. I heard my dad stumble through the door. Thins were falling and being bumped. He was drunk again. I don't know why he's been like this lately! He swings me bedroom door open.
"Where's your mother!" He yells at me.
"She went out of town for work. I told you. I don't know why or how long," I tried to say calmly even though I was very frightened.
"If she's not coming back, and she didn't leave, it's your fault!" He is still yelling. My eyes started to bawl up with tears. I looked away from him.
"Don't say that," I said as a tear fell from my eye. He pushed the door all the way opened forcefully and grabbed my shoulder to pull me up. He then yelled in my face. I could smell all the alcohol he's been drinking. "Dad, stop. Please," I said very softly. He hit my face. But this time harder. I fell to the ground. My left eye already felt swollen. I stared at him with tears in my eyes.
"Get out! I said get out!" He yelled again and again as I ran out the door. I ran down the street and through the neighborhood. I didn't even know where to go.
