The aftermath of the Karma Corp Keep Camp operation weighed heavily on everyone at Hogwarts. The victory was monumental, but the sheer emotional and physical toll of the mission had left everyone drained. Harry knew they all needed a break, and that included him.
After the morning bustle of sorting out the rescued captives, Harry called for a day off, much to everyone's delight. Students and staff alike were given time to rest, relax, and recover from the whirlwind of events that had unfolded over the past several weeks.
A Well-Earned Break
The castle was filled with a lighter energy that morning. Laughter echoed through the halls as students gathered in the Entertainment Wing and on the grounds, enjoying their rare day of leisure. Even the teachers seemed more relaxed, taking part in casual conversations and catching up with one another. The weight of responsibility momentarily lifted from everyone's shoulders.
Harry spent the morning in the Great Hall, sharing breakfast with Luna, Neville, and Ginny, each of them enjoying the calm atmosphere.
"You know," Neville said with a grin, "it's weird not having to plan the next mission or worry about another attack."
Ginny chuckled. "Don't jinx it, Neville."
Luna, ever her whimsical self, smiled softly as she stirred her tea. "It's nice to take a break sometimes. The world feels lighter when we let it."
Harry nodded in agreement. It felt good to just sit and enjoy a simple meal without the looming pressure of battle. But, even as he smiled and laughed with his friends, a part of his mind was already drifting to the next challenge he wanted to tackle. He had been thinking about the Changeable Tides spell, one of the most powerful rituals he had discovered recently in the old tome. Now seemed like the perfect time to try it out.
After Lunch: A New Focus
By the time lunch was over, the day off had served its purpose, and Harry's mind was already buzzing with ideas. The Changeable Tides spell had captured his attention for weeks, and after today's rest, he felt ready to put it into practice.
He stood in the War Room, pacing back and forth in front of the large table. The tome with the ritual lay open, the page detailing the powerful spell for moving entire landmasses from one place to another. Harry had been meticulous, ensuring he understood every calculation and magical component needed to perform the spell perfectly.
"I'll start small," Harry muttered to himself, nodding as he made his decision. "Work my way up."
He scanned the room and spotted a pencil lying on the table. With a flick of his wand and a quiet incantation, Harry began the spell. He carefully drew a series of runes in the air, and with precision, he sent the pencil from the left side of the room to the right.
The pencil vanished from its original spot and reappeared seamlessly on the other side of the room.
A smile tugged at Harry's lips. "Perfect."
Luna, who had wandered into the room just in time to see the experiment, watched with curiosity. "You've mastered the small things, Harry. What's next?"
Harry grinned. "Something bigger."
Scaling Up
Harry's experiments continued through the afternoon. First, he moved a chair from one side of the room to the other. Then a desk, a bookshelf, and even the table that stood in the center of the War Room. With each successful trial, Harry grew more confident. The Changeable Tides spell was working perfectly, and it was time to put it to the true test.
"All the calculations are right," Harry said as he went over his notes again. "I'm ready."
The Black Family Townhouse
Harry's first real test would be on an ancestral home, and he knew exactly which one to start with: the Black Family Townhouse. Since Sirius Black had passed, the house had been left empty. With no other Blacks left to inherit it, it was the perfect candidate for this historic experiment.
He sent word to one of the teachers to visit the subdivision he had created for ancestral homes. The teacher, Professor Flitwick, arrived at the designated area where the townhouse would be moved, ready to confirm its arrival.
Harry stood in the War Room, a map spread out before him. The Black townhouse was currently situated in London, but soon, it would be relocated to its new home alongside the other ancient magical estates.
Taking a deep breath, Harry began the spell. His wand moved gracefully through the air as he whispered the ancient incantation, drawing the required runes and symbols with precision. He could feel the magic building, wrapping around the townhouse from afar.
A minute passed. Then two. And then...
"Done," Harry said, feeling the magic settle.
He turned toward the communication charm on the table, his heart racing. "Professor Flitwick? Did it work?"
There was a brief silence before Flitwick's excited voice echoed back through the charm. "It's here! The Black townhouse—it appeared right in front of me. Harry, it worked perfectly!"
A broad smile broke across Harry's face. "That's fantastic."
Luna clapped her hands together, her eyes bright. "You've done it, Harry."
Moving the Ancestral Homes
Now that the spell had proven successful, Harry wasted no time. He sent word to the teachers and members of his team to stand by in the subdivision area as he prepared to move the other ancestral homes. These were old, magically infused estates—homes that had been passed down through generations of pureblood families. Each was filled with history, both magical and mundane.
With great care, Harry performed the Changeable Tides spell on each one. The Malfoy Manor, the Lestrange Estate, the Nott House, and many others were slowly but surely moved from their original locations to the new ancestral subdivision.
One by one, each estate appeared in its new location, fitting perfectly into the layout Harry had designed.
By the time the last home had been moved, the new subdivision was complete—a grand display of magical architecture and heritage. The ancient homes now stood side by side, a testament to the rich history of the wizarding world.
A Major Success
As the sun began to set, Harry stood at the entrance of the new ancestral home subdivision, surveying the results of the day's work. The grand estates stood tall, their old magic humming softly in the air.
"You've done something incredible," Luna said, standing beside him. "These homes... they've found their new place."
Harry nodded, a sense of satisfaction settling over him. "It's just the beginning. There are still more to move, more to build. But this—this was a success."
"People will be grateful for what you've done here," Luna added softly.
Harry smiled, though there was a tiredness in his eyes. "Maybe. But we still have a lot of work to do."
As they walked back toward Hogwarts, Harry couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. The day had been long, but it had been worth it. The Changeable Tides spell was more powerful than he had ever imagined, and now, with the success of moving the ancestral homes, he knew he could do even more.
