The Two Brothers and Me

Chapter 2

Jin opened the window of the car as they entered the Jeon's mansion. It was really big and it's the first time that Jin will step into a house as big as that.

"Wow!" He said as he looked at the vastness of the mansion.

"Welcome to the Jeon's place, Mr. Kim." The driver said.

Realizing that this is not his home, he immediately closed the window and slumped on the car's seat.

"I still don't like it here." He said.

The driver, whom he knew by now to be Mr. Lee just looked at him from the rearview mirror. He was told by the old man that he will be his permanent driver starting today.

"You will like it here, Mr. Kim. The Jeons are kind and helpful. I am sure that they will get a liking of you." He said.

Jin looked at him then looked at their destination again. "No matter how big the house can be, it's still not a home." Jin said.

Mr. Lee understood what the boy meant, considering that he will be staying with people who are not actually his own family.

"Just give your mother a chance. The Jeons will surely welcome you to their house." Mr. Lee said.

Jin nodded even though he did not meant it.

As they have arrived, his mother ordered the maids politely where to take Jin.

"Mr. Kim---"

"Call me Seokjin." He said.

The maids smiled at him and bowed. "Mr. Kim, please follow us. We have arranged your things in your room but feel free to tell us if there's anything we need to re-arrange." They said.

Jin smiled and followed them, leaving his mom and Jaehyun.

Jaehyun squeezed his wife's hand. "He will understand eventually." He said.

Yuna smiled at her husband. "I hope so. I hope spending time with Jungkook and Taehyung would help." She said.

"I am sure Jungkook would help him, with Taehyung, he's always the unpredictable one." Jaehyun said.

Yuna nodded, understanding that the two also have different personalities.

Jin was surprised to the size of his room and how all of his things are almost nowhere to be found since the room was very large.

"Your clothes are here, Seokjin." One of the maids said as she opened another door, a room to his walk-in closet.

The other maid took her leave since she's usually advised to stay at the kitchen, she said.

He smiled at them and realized that he has few clothes in the closet when he looked at them because all of it are only in one side. "How rich can Jaehyun be? No wonder my mom married him." He whispered to himself as he walked around the walk-in closet.

"What is that, Seokjin?" The maid asked.

"N-nothing." He said. "You can leave me here and thank you for arranging my things. I will have a rest for now."

"Ms. Yuna also advised us that you will have dinner at Queen's Cuisine. Mr. Lee will prepare the car at 6pm. Please advise us if you'll need anything from us." She said before she was about to leave.

"W-wait. Dinner?" Jin asked.

"Yes, Seokjin. Jungkook-ssi and Taehyung-ssi will be joining you for dinner." She said with a smile, as if it's a good thing to be with his two step-brothers.
