It was an ordinary Monday for everyone. Everyone except Tessa. She was worn out, since today was her first day to work as the CEO.

The meeting of officers started with overwhelming complaints. The officers were murmuring when Tessa entered, "Another female CEO."

"Working under a woman? No way!"

"That spoilt brat thinks that just because she is Theodore's daughter, will bow our heads to her feet!"

"I'd rather die than being bossed around by her!"

Amongst the murmuring, a firm voice said, "Hand in the tasks you were assigned a few hours ago."

The officers jumped from their seats and faced Tessa. "Of course, Miss Tessa.", one of them blurted out.

"Hm." Tessa didn't usually show many emotions at work. It was her way of keeping her calm in front of her colleagues.

As Tessa was on her way out, one of her colleagues and closest friends, Karri, said, "Miss Tessa~ I wanted to let you know that... * smirks * ...I might have set you up on a 'blind date' with someone 'special'."

"WHAT-" Tessa couldn't believe her ears. "Why the heck would you do that?!" Karri smirked and said, "Cause I wanted to." She shrugged. "Besides~ he is VERY handsome."

Tessa rolled her eyes. "No way I'm going on that date. You can't just set me up with someone without even asking me!"

"Yes I can. Now run home and get ready. The date's in... * checks her watch * ...15 minutes. GO!"

"NO WHAT-"

"Bye~"

"Fuck you Karri."

"The feeling is mutual."

"Ugh."

Tessa sighed and reluctantly drove home to get changed.

"No, no, no! That looks shitty." Tessa thought as she tried a dress on.

"Tessa...its a date, not a meeting of the CEOs." She thought to herself as she wore a suit.

She picked up a red dress. "Hmm...this outfit closely resembles Karri's description about date night outfits."

~Leo~

"Thank you Karri." Leo called Karri up while waiting for Tessa.

"No sweat. But you still owe me a $100." Karri replied.

- Flashback -

"I give up, can you help me?", asked Leo.
"I knew you would call me up, sure!", the reciever replied.
"Convincing Tessa is no piece of shit." Leo exclaimed. "Anyways, thank you Karri."
"You owe me a $100." She hung up.

- Flashback over -

~Tessa~

"OK, we're here, we'll do this." She muttered to herself. "It's just a matter of an hour."

Tessa walked in on the building's rooftop to see it decorated with roses.

"A candlelight dinner! Wow, this guy is really serious." Tessa spoke aloud.

~Azriel~

"Finally! A night to myself." Azriel relaxed as the waiter served him wine.

"A candlelight dinner! Wow, this guy is really serious." A voice startled him.

He muttered angrily under his breath, "Oh great, I can't spend ONE night peacefully. Who on EARTH is-" He looked up and saw his biggest foe, the CEO of Mira, Tessa Lyle.

"What the heck are YOU doing here?" He exclaimed while getting up abruptly.

~Third Person~

Tessa looked at him with utter disbelief. This is who Karri thought was 'special' for her?

"Azriel Vesper? Look I've been set up for this date forcefully, and it seems you didn't come here willingly either. So for the sake of it, let's just sit through it. Its just a matter of an hour and we can just pretend- wait let's not. I don't think we're getting spied on. Should we just go home? Wait no that's rude. Maybe I should just-"

Azriel : * le blink blink *

"WOAH, hold up lady. The heck are you talking about?"

Tessa blinked. "Wait- what? Oh..I didn't realize I was- nevermind. What are we having for dinner?"

"We? Uh okay? Take a seat, I guess?" Azriel was hella confused but maintaining good relations with CEOs of companies belonging to his group was his foremost priority.

But he didn't understand why she was here in the first place. "Why is she here? Does she want something? She mentioned something about a date. Maybe she likes me? Wait no, that isn't possible. It could be something related to work, but then why come here? She could meet me at the office itself. But the dress...does it imply something? But what?" he thought.

He didn't realize he was staring at Tessa until she spoke up, "You find me pretty, don't you?"

"Pretty?" he asked. But then taking another look at the girl, he thought to himself. "She was wearing a long red bodycon dress, which had a slit in the side that went up till her hips. Her wavy brown hair flowed down shoulders, swaying in the wind. Her lips were cherry red and she was fair-skinned. Woah, she DID look pretty. DAMN PRETTY."

"Yes, you are pretty." he blurted out. He immediately regretted saying that.

Tessa needed to be on good terms with other CEOs, so she said, "Well, you don't look bad either."

Actually he didn't look bad at all.

He was wearing a black shirt that was unbuttoned and his bare chest was visible. He was wearing black pants. He had shiny black hair and Tessa didn't fail to notice his physic.

"He looks too good." Tessa murmured.

"Hm? Sorry didn't catch that.", Azriel said.

"Oh, nothing. What are we ordering for food?"

"What do you want?"

"Sushi."

"Oh shit I hate that.", he said to himself.

But Tessa heard that.

"Oh then how about spaghetti?"

"Uh sure."

They sat and ate in silence. But the view was breathtaking. The cityscape was beautiful and the sky was filled with scattered stars.

Then the peaceful silence was broken by a ringing phone. It was Tessa's.

"Hello?" She picked up and answered.

She talked to the caller for a few seconds before dropping her phone.

"What? Did you just see a ghost?" He joked.

But then he saw that Tessa had tears in her eyes. Looking at her, for the first time in his life, he felt pity for someone he didn't love.

"Woah there. Hey, hey what's wrong?", he tried to comfort her.

She couldn't keep her tears in as she said,

"M-my sister has been assassinated."
