I gently place a hand on her head as she rested her head against my chest. I don't know why I have the sense that I want to protect her. Why do I feel this way? I have no idea.
-Practical Test-
Y/N P.O.V
The big shot hero called All Might, who happens to be a teacher here said that we'd be taking a part in a practical test. We're told to team up by two people each. We'll be going against each other. One team as heroes while the others as villains.
My mind keeps being occupied by worry. I'm never able to tell what will happen. What if I lose control and let this monster take over my body. I turn my head to look at the teacher.
"Erm... Sensei?" I called out, raising my hand. I feel pair of eyes turning to look at me. He turns his head to look at me. "I'm sure you know why I'm attending UA. It is to find a way for me to control the monster inside of me. So, uhh... I'd like to give you something, just in case I lose control" I said. He turns his body to face me. I reach inside my pocket and pulls out a keychain.

"Just put your thumb in the center" I said. He stares at the keychain. He's probably wondering how a keychain would help control me. "By doing so, it will activate my necklace and sends electric shock through my body. It would wake me if I ever fall asleep and let this tailed beast monster take over my body. Please do it as soon as I fall unconscious. Don't let me turn and hurt people around me" I said.
"I understand. Thank you for entrusting this to me..." he said. He lift his hand. I gently place the keychain on his hand. I smile softly at him and bow. I take a few steps away to stand next to the others. "Okay, I'll now decide the teams" he said. He starts to call our names one by one which will be partners. I just stay silent as I wait for my name to be mentioned. "And finally, L/N Y/N... you'll be paired up with Midoriya Izuku..." he said.
Midoriya P.O.V
I'm paired up with L/N-Chan. I glance at the h/c haired girl standing next to me. Her gaze remains focusing on what's in front of us. I feel nervousness growing within my chest. I did not expect that I'd be paired up with her.
"I'm sorry in advance, L/N-Chan..." I said. She blinks her eyes a few times and turn to look at me. She stares at me with a confused gaze. "You see, um... I still don't have full control over my Quirk. I might ended up slowing us down" I said.
"I can't control mine that well either. So, that makes two of us" she said, smiling softly at me. She lifted her hand, showing me her fist. "Let's just do our best, okay?" She said. I just smile softly and nods my head. I lift my hand, bumping my fist with hers. I'm glad to know that she won't see me as a hindrance.

Y/N P.O.V
Midoriya and I will be facing against Bakugo and Todoroki. We'll be acting as heroes while they'll be the villains. I'm not sure if those two will be able to work together. I hardly see those ever get along with one another. Guess they'll be having a hard time.
"That Bakugo guy... his quirk is explosion, huh?" I said, recalling my last encounter with him the other day when Aizawa-Sensei wanted to test my Quirk. I turn my head to look at Midoriya as he nods his head at me. "And... what about Todoroki? What's his Quirk?" I asked.
"Oh, he's half hot half cold..." he said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "He can manipulate fire with his left side while his right side manipulate ice" he said. I let out a soft hum at what he said, nodding my head.
"Fire and ice, huh..." I said. He nods his head at what I said. I turn my head to look at the building, waiting for All Might to give us a signal to begin. I turn my head to look at Midoriya. "Just don't expect too much from me, Midoriya... and stay as far away from me as possible if I ever lose my consciousness. This monster never pick who to hurt. It will attack everyone..." I said.
"I understand" he said. I reach inside my pocket and take out another keychain. I toss it to him, he flinch at my action as he catches it. He opens his hand to look at it. "This is just like the one you gave to All Might" he said.
"You're my partner in this task. So I give you one, just in case I lose consciousness. If that happens, you'd know what to do, right, Midoriya?" I said. He just nods his head. I send him a small smile.
"The mission has begun" All Might-Sensei said. I turn to look at Midoriya and sends him a curt nod. We make our way inside the building. All Might Sensei said there will be a dummy doll that will act as hostage. We are to retrieve the doll with as little damage on it as possible for our task to be a success.
We lean our back against the wall. "I'll see if there's any chance of them around. We don't want them to ambush us" I said. Midoriya stared at me with a confused gaze. "I have a way. Don't worry" I said.
I cover one of my eye and lift my hand. The sand starts to form into an eye. Midoriya stares at it in awe. "Now, I'll just have to send this off" I said. I slowly lift my hand and crush. I outstretch my hand as I send it away. My sand eye starts to scout the area.
"There's no one around. Alright, looks like we're clear" I said, removing my finger from my eye. I turn my head to look at Midoriya. "Let's go" I said. He nods his head. We turn around the corner and continue our way deeper into the building.
We turn around another corner, and come face to face with Bakugo. My sand starts pouring out of the gourd. "Time for a rematch. I won't lose again this time" he said, cracking his fingers. I just stand on guard as I prepare for him to attack us. With his first strike, the purpose of test has officially begun.
