Chapter 16

The first night I have actually fallen asleep in my husband room. In my supposed room. I wake up to see Ranch shirtless rubbing my back when l look at him.

"Morning" I say

"Morning Mrs Singhani" Ranch says when l look at him

"I love this for us" I say

"Well I also love this for us" Ranch says

I get up when l leave the room and go to my room and change into a light pink kurta top with white pants and jewellery. My hair is braided back and today I feel the need to wear the vermilion. Their is a different feeling when l look into the mirror with this look. I go downstairs when Narayan comes to me.

"Their is a guest waiting for you at the Foyer" Narayan says

I walk to the Foyer when l see Azaan looking straight at me.

"I know you don't wish to see me but I just want to speak to you before l go back" Azaan says

"What do you wish to say?" I ask "do you wish to say sorry because it won't work on me"

"I know I have hurt you and l am sorry for that. You look so beautiful dressed up like a married woman. I almost didn't want to come here because it would hurt me seeing you married to another man but I know I blew my chance" Azaan says with tears in his eyes "Manna I know that we are dead and we will never get back get back together again but I want you to know that if ever you need me I will wait for your call. I will do anything for you"

"Azaan I don't think it is appropriate to say these thing to another man's wife" I say

"I know that is why I am leaving right now; for what it is worth maybe listening to Ranch may not be the worst thing you ever do" Azaan says and he walks out the door and stands outside "I love you Manna; I will never stop loving you either but do take care of yourself"

Azaan walks out the house and drives off when l stand their.

"Why was he here?" Ranch asks

"He just came to say his leaving; anyway umm I was thinking maybe we should go out" I say

"No actually I have a work assignment to handel" Ranch says

"Oh come on Ranch just for my sake" I say

"No actually I will be gone for a couple of days" Ranch says

"I need to go back to America next week" I say "Actually it's for my art"

"Don't stress I will clear my schedule and make sure I have the time to follow you their" Ranch says as he goes upstairs to change into his outfit

I go outside when l practise my dance on the Porsche. I notice that a woman comes through the gates with her daughter.

"Hello; we are here to meet Mr Singhani" she says

"I am his wife you can talk to me" I say

"I don't wish to hurt your feelings but I wish to only speak to your husband" she says when she goes into the house and l follow her. She seem to be familiar with the house and goes upstairs to Ranch's room which she closes the door fast.

Who is this woman and what does she want from Ranch?

I hear sobbing in the room when l wait outside and Ranch comes out the room.

"Who is she?" I ask

"She is nobody don't stress yourself too much about her" Ranch says and goes downstairs

"Will she be staying in your room?" I ask

"Yes and please do not bother her or her daughter right now" Ranch says as he goes downstairs to the car.
