Chapter 21

We are finally married!!!

When we sit together as he holds my hand.

"I never thought you and l would sit calmly like this my love" Ranch says

"Ranch we are in this together and we will win it together in the end" I say

"Mrs Singhani l love you so much; I won't let anything come inbetween that" Ranch says

We walk to the door when Narayan looks at me. The front door is decorated for a newly wed bride who is about to enter into her in laws house.

"You are the lady of this house; you would be welcomed with immense pride and joy" Narayan says and he does my aarti.

"Will you please sit the urn with your right foot" Narayan says

I tip the urn with my right foot when l see the sindoor water.

"Step in that and walk across the floor. Our Laxmi has finally come home" Narayan says

"I'm not too accustomed with tradions remember all my life I have spent in USA with a different culture so I will learn little by little" I say

I step in the sindoor water as well across the floor leaving my foot print on the ground. Ranch helps me with lifting my lehenga up when l stand and look at him.

"Welcome into the home Mrs Singhani and we hope you are always happy in this house" Narayan says

"I will be always" l say

Ranch picks me up and spins me around happily when l feel a slight bit of dizziness.

"Ranch; I am feeling dizzy so please don't spin me around like that" I say

"Okay fine then" he says

"Is this the Singhani house" a man says at the door when we both look at the door"

"Yes" I say

"I have brought a mail for Mrs Manna Singhani" he says

"Thank you" I say and look at it when l go and take it and open it.

"This is Aarav wedding card; oh my it's an invitation we should really go" I say "he is my brother so l cannot say no to him and his request"

"When do the rituals start" Ranch asks

"Tomorrow come on we have to go" I say

"I would love to but l have some business to to attend to in Kolkata tomorrow" Ranch says

"Its your brother in laws wedding and I want you to be their" I say

"I will make an effort to come okay; are you ready to see your father" Ranch says

"This isn't about Dada it's about Aaru and his happiness and being apart of it" I say when I go and unchange from the wedding lehenga. I then start to pack my bags with all the new sarees Ranch has gifted me. I admire my red bridal bangles when Ranch comes to me and looks at them.

"They are beautiful aren't they" he says

"Absolutely" I say "they are perfect"

I lay on the bed and think about Ranch and all that we have done today. I am wife again. Ranch comes and puts his head on my chest.

"Good night Mrs Singhani" Ranch says

I caress his head as we both fall asleep together on the bed.
The early morning comes when l shower. I then sit and blow dry my hair. I stand infront of the mirror and start drapping my blue saree up together it has a blue blouse along which matches my marital bangles. I look at myself in the mirror when l wake Ranch up.
