IT'D been a few days since Juniper and Lynn had been going back and forth to each other's houses, trying to finish Rules of the Road after they'd watched the movie first, except the movie had nothing to do with the book, so it was all just a waste of time.
They decided to take it slow, especially because they had all the time in the world. Actually, just two weeks, but who's counting?
"Lynn, are you even listening?" Juniper scolded Lynn, glaring at the uninterested girl in the FaceTime call.
Since Lynn was sick and had missed school, Juniper wanted to be safe, and just do the work over call, which was clearly a bad idea.
A few minutes pass by, and Lynn gets scolded by Juniper again.
"That's it. I'm coming over whether you like it or not."
With that, the call ended and Juniper headed to Lynn's bustling home, where she has grown to feel a sense of belonging amidst the chaos.
Merely seven minutes later, Juniper had arrived at Lynn's doorstep, about to knock, but the door opened before she could even raise her fist.
"'Sup, bunny," Lynn greeted, leaning against the door frame.
Juniper rolled her eyes before realizing that Lynn had on a navy blue blazer over her usual red outfit. "The hell are you wearing?"
Even though the colors of the outfit didn't match, Juniper would be lying if she said that Lynn didn't look...good.
"Just come in." Lynn opened the door wider for Juniper, and to Juniper's surprise, none of the kids were in the living room, mostly because they're always in the living room whenever Juniper is around.
Lynn patted Juniper's shoulders from behind before leaning into the girl's ear, whispering, "it's chore day today, bunny, and you're helping whether you like it or not."
WHATHDJSKSJDKJSJ.
Juniper felt her face get hot, but (surprisingly) didn't say anything back to Lynn, who had a snark smirk on her face.
