The sun hung low in the sky, casting a soft, golden glow over the sprawling city of Jaipur. The evening air was warm but carried a light breeze, the kind that made the heat feel bearable. Vaishnavi sat on her balcony, cradling a cup of coffee in her hands, the aroma rising gently as she took a slow sip.
From her vantage point, she could see the rooftops of the old city, dotted with the faint silhouettes of ancient havelis and temples. The horizon was painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple as the sun slowly set, casting long shadows across the cityscape.
The hum of Jaipur's evening life drifted up to her balcony, distant but familiar. A few children played in the street below, their laughter carried on the breeze, while a couple of street vendors called out their last sales for the day. The air smelled faintly of jasmine and spices, a subtle reminder of the bustling markets not too far away.
Vaishnavi (smiling as she answered the call):
"Hey, Trisha."
Trisha (her voice excited):
"Vaishu, I need your help! I'm going to Surat for my wedding shopping, and I can't do this alone. You have to come with me!"Vaishnavi (teasing):
"Surat, huh? Dragging me into the wedding madness, are you?"Trisha (laughing):
"Of course! You're my best friend, and you've got the best taste when it comes to this stuff. I need you there."Vaishnavi (grinning):
"Alright, alright. I'm in. When do we leave?"Trisha (voice brightening even more):
"Oh, and guess what? Ishan is joining me in Surat too!"Vaishnavi (surprised but happy):
"Ishan bhaiya? That's great! When's he getting there?"Trisha:
"Tomorrow! He wrapped up his work early, so he's coming to help me out with the shopping. It'll be the three of us, just like old times."Vaishnavi's smile grew. She had known Ishan since their school days, and he had always been like a big brother to her.
Vaishnavi:
"That'll be fun! It's been a while since we all hung out together."Trisha (laughing):
"Right? And it's not just us—Mishti and Nitika are coming too! It's going to be a full-on shopping spree."Vaishnavi:
"Sounds like chaos already. I'm ready for it."They both laughed, the excitement for the trip growing as the conversation continued. Vaishnavi felt the anticipation rise, knowing the next few days would be filled with fun, friendship, and a little bit of madness.

The steady hum of the airplane filled the cabin as Vaishnavi gazed out of the small window, watching the clouds drift by. The familiar anticipation of landing in a new city stirred within her, but her mind kept circling back to the events of the past few weeks. Fifteen days had passed since that night—since Krrish had come to help her when she needed it most.
It had been a whirlwind of emotions. She hadn't expected him to show up that night, not after all the time that had passed between them, and definitely not in the middle of that crisis. But he had come, calm and steady, like he always was. His presence had grounded her in a way she hadn't even realized she needed.
Ever since that night, the thought of texting him had crossed her mind a thousand times. She'd even typed out a few messages, but each time, she couldn't bring herself to hit send. What would she even say? Thank you? How are you? It all felt too... complicated.
