Someone's probably gonna wet themselves

TW: disturbing (for a bit)

Annabeth stumbled into Hazel, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "Who's about to wet themselves?" She mumbled, frowning.

"Anwen just nearly died!" Hazel fretted, hopping from one foot to the other.

"Hazel why does it look like you need to pee? Were you the one wetting themselves?" A voice called.

"No one's wetting themselves!" I yelled.

"What do you mean she nearly died?" Annabeth looked at Hazel in alarm.

"Her life force." Hazel said, her breathing becoming heavier. "I felt her life force fade. Oh my gods. It was so scary. It was just... it was like a sinking feeling." Tears began falling down Hazel's cheeks.

By now, lights were being turned on in the hall and sleepy teenagers were stumbling out of their rooms.

"Who's dying?" Frank asked worriedly.

"Anwen!" Hazel sobbed.

"What?" Someone yelled.

Leo, Piper and Percy ran into the room. "What's going on?" Piper asked.

Percy walked Hazel away from the doorway and sat her down against a wall. "Are you alright?" He asked.

Hazel shook her head. "I don't- Something doesn't feel right. It wasn't like a usual sense when someone is dying, it was... it was like something was trying to tell me... I don't." Hazel's breathing was becoming shallower. "I can't see." She gasped.

"Percy." I said, warningly. "Step away from her."

"She's having a panic attack!" He hissed.

"No." I muttered. "She's not. Something's wrong, I can feel it."

Percy moved away reluctantly as Frank and Jason ran in. Frank made a beeline for Hazel but Percy grabbed his arm and hauled him away. "What are you doing?" Frank struggled against Percy.

"Frank, let Anwen have some space, okay? I trust her." Percy said quietly.

I pushed myself out of bed and cautiously walked over to Hazel.

Hazel's dark curls were messed up on one side from sleeping and she was still in her pyjamas. Clearly she had been in quite a rush to get here as soon as she felt something. The thought comforted me slightly.

Then I looked closer.

Hazel's pupils seemed to be growing, darkness was blossoming under her eyelids just as it had under the waves in my nightmare.

I paused for a moment. Hazel began twitching, she fell sideways and began coughing, spit frothing up in her mouth.

"Is she having a seizure or something? Where's Coach when you actually need him?" Frank yelped.

I ignored him and knelt down in front of Hazel. I rolled her onto her side in the foetal position and tried to see what was happening to her eyes. Then she went limp. A shadow rose up behind her on the wall.

I stared at the darkness in shock. "What the-"

Hazel's arm shot out with inhuman speed and gripped my arm with such force I thought she was going to break my wrist.

"Daughter of the Wild." A familiar voice echoed from her. I froze. The voice was like a thousand people whispering in a cathedral. Quiet but powerful.

"This is your final warning." It hissed. Hazel rolled onto her back and gasped.
