Camila's POV
It was the last weekend of the first month of the year. I had been spending my weekends with Lauren since Christmas. We took turns to stay in our places, Since it was still winter, we spent most of our time indoors. We had more choices of things to do if I stayed at her place. She got all those facilities at her residence, which I did not have. If she stayed at my place, we would spend our days talking, watching movies, reading books, dining out, or just chilling, sharing affection.
It was nice we had time to get to know each other. We needed time to get to know each other but enjoyed the process. The most important thing was that we enjoyed being together. Lauren told me that she would get busier in February. Our schedules would change in February when the holiday was officially over. My part-time job caring for Thunder and Leo would be reduced to only weekends. Lauren would also have a business trip to Europe for a month.
Lauren asked me to join her in traveling to Europe. I decided not to join her after considering it. I could not leave my teaching course. I also had to work on my online study, which required me to stop by the campus this month to take care of some stuff. I also wanted to spend my last working days with Thunder and Leo. I did not want to bother Lauren, too. She was going there for business, not for a holiday. Last but not least, I did not have my passport, even though Lauren said it was not a problem because she could take care of it for me. Getting a new passport took fourteen days.
However. Lauren asked me to get my passport immediately. She said it was for the next trip or just in case I changed my mind. I could join her anytime for this trip. She wanted to call Ally to take care of my passport, but I told her I could do it myself. She agreed as long as I did not delay applying for it. Since I could not join her, this weekend would be the last weekend we spent time together. I was waiting for her to pick me up. We were going for dinner before going to her place.
"Hi!" I opened the door and greeted Lauren, who stood in front of my apartment door.
She smiled as usual. She stepped into my apartment and kissed me. "For you."
"Thanks!" I took the single red rose she gave me. She always bought a single red rose whenever she came to pick me up.
"Are you ready?" She asked.
"Yes." I took the small bag that I had prepared. She asked me to just leave some clothes and personal care stuff at her place so I did not have to bring anything when I stayed over. I did not do it just yet.
"Let me!" She took the bag from me. She always did it.
"Good evening, miss!" Peter greeted me when we reached Lauren's car.
"Peter..." I playfully glared at Peter. "Stop calling me Ms!"
He laughed and looked at Lauren, who was smiling. Lauren nodded. He asked Lauren if he could call me by name. He definitely could or should.
"Alright, Camila." He said before we got into the car.
We headed to the restaurant where Lauren had reserved a table for us. She was the one who arranged it. I let Lauren decide because she was the one who knew better and paid for it. I didn't have any idea, too, whenever she asked me what and where I wanted to eat. I trusted her anyway. She has advanced my knowledge in culinary since I became her girlfriend. She always brought me to experience something new. After having dinner, Lauren took me to some shops. She asked me to get some new clothes and my personal care stuff to leave them at her place. I did not want to, but Lauren insisted. I listened to her in the end because she had left some clothes and stuff at my place last week.
