The Commander

"Sir? My contract is for another 2 years pa po" Amaya says. "Hmmm I'll expunge it" Mr. Laxamana says sitting back down. "Pero sir-" Aya buts in. "I'll double your salary" Mr. Laxamana reasons out. "I'll gladly report back to you po, everything Ms. Laxamana and Ms. Valencia does" Aya says as she shakes Mr. Laxamana's hand. "Wait wait wait No one has even asked me yet if I'm ok with this" Mave argues as she stands. "Who says that you have a say in things." Aya says. "Dad oh is that how you talk to your boss" Mave snaps back. "Actually..." Mr. Laxamana buts in. "Actually Aya you are in charge pag sa inyong dalawa" he says looking at Mave and Cal. "Luh Tito bakit naman damay ako?" Cal says. "You'll both be thanking me one day for this" he says. "Aya of course you'll mostly be with Mave, help her out with what she must do, maybe then I'd see my daughter more often. Report back to me if she ever does or says something sayo." He says as Aya just nods and list down what he says. "Dad, you said I'd have a more supervisorial position" Mave says with furrowed brows. "You already do. Now sit back and delegate" Mr. Laxamana says in a serious tone. "Aya bibigyan kita ng allowance, you are to follow Mave wherever she goes, and you'll be staying with us sa mansion. Seems like me, you and Mom can finally go on a vacation Mavey" Mr Laxamana teases his daughter.

After the meeting with her father and the shareholders Mave enters her own office in their company. "So... what am I supposed to do now?" Mave asks Aya. "You do have some papers to sign, to approve some projects under your department right now" Aya says placing down a thick folder. "Has Dad read this?" Mave says as she's on her phone. "No po but-" Aya was speaking. "Then you should give it to Dad first and ask if he's ok with everything" Mave interrupts Aya. "Actually miss-" she says as she takes Mave phone. "Your Dad said that you're well equiped enough to know whether to approve or not these projects" Aya says as she open the folder and makes Mave face the table. "Fine." Mave says while she gets her pen. "Plans for the new building construction" Aya places a paper in front "plans for the annual employees gala" places another paper "for the hiring of the marketing department" another paper "for the outreach program sponsored by your foundation" another paper. "Ok enough enough, I get it" Mave says holding her head. "Just please get me some coffee muna" Mave says to Aya. "Of course boss" Aya says as she gives a teasing smile.

It's been hours since Mave started to review the papers Aya gave. "Hi Maveyyyy" the noise echoed as someone enters the office. "Shai ang ingay, I can hear you nasa baba ka pa lang" Mave says as she places her pen down. "Ang OA bro, we just wanted to see you" Jules, Julianna Razon, another heir to another group of company, friend of Mave and Cal. "Of course we wanted to check and see if good boy na ba talaga ang beshy namin" Soph, Sophia Suarez, unica hija of a rich bloodline, heir to multiple companies as well, friend of Mave and Cal. "Mavey namin kinakawawa ka ba dito?? Deserve mo naman eh" Shai says, Shairra Cojuangco, unica hija, youngest in the group, the nation's baby, and heir to multiple companies as well. "You guys are so OA" Mave says trying to dodge Shai's hands as she tries to cup her face. " First day mo pa lang mukha ka ng pagod ah" Jules says as she sits on the couch. "Why don't you go bother Cal naman" Mave says as she open the door for them. "Cause we heard na may mas juicy chika here" Soph says as she closes the door and sits Mave down. "Huh? Chika? What do you mean?" Mave clueless and curious to what they mean. "We heard na you've been wedded off to someone" Jules says while she side eyes Aya through the office glass wall. "Oh stop" Mave says as she rolls her eyes. "Hindi ba you guys are always fighting like newly weds naman" Soph teases. "Uy may bagong commander na siyaaaaaaa" Shai teases as she pokes Mave tickling her. "Ay Nako, you guys are overreaching, she's my new secretary" Mave says. "Ay bago na naman" Shai says sarcasticly. "Oh come on Mavey" Soph says. "Sabagay pero thinks about it... she's always with you, sa house niyo siya mag stay, close siya with your fam, and approve ang lahat sa kanya" Jules says listing off while walking around the room. "Even sa amin, approve na approve" Shai says giving a thumbs up to Aya who's looking at them through the glass.

"May utos po kayo?" Aya enters the room asking. "Ah Wala wala" Mave answers frantically. "Uy takot kay commander" Jules teases. "Po, Ms. Razon?" Aya asks. "It's nothing, aalis na kami. We'll be going kila Cal just call me if you need me" Mave says picking up her phone and on her way out the office. "Uy nagpapa alam kay commander niya~" Soph teases as they all leave the office.

After the four had left, Aya was left in Mave's office. She was getting the files from Mave's table when she saw a picture of Mave as a kid smiling. "Marunong ka naman pala ngumiti" Aya says staring at Mave's picture. "Kung hindi ka lang workaholic at masungit sana naging crush na kita" she says as she places the photo back. "Sayang ang itsura kung panget naman ang ugali" she says as she's leaving. Amaya 'Aya' de Ayala is the eldest daughter of Jon and Silvia de Ayala, small time business owners in Cebu. She has a sister George de Ayala, who's an aspiring gamer, living in Cebu with their parents. Aya after graduating applied to Laxamana's companies and was recruited by Mr. Laxamana for her intelligence and kind nature, she was flew in by Mr. Laxamana himself and given a condo to live in Manila while she works with the company. Aya is working hard to be able to bring G de Ayala to Manila for her to pursue her dreams.

"Bessss, mukhang overtime na naman kayo ah" Mags, Maggie Robredo, an intern designer at Forge & Foundry Co. (under Valencia Family), friend of Aya. "Oo, kakaiba amo ko ngayon. Gusto ata sa office na tumira" Aya says as she enters their condo. "So how was work? Nakita mo na naman ba si Prince Charming ko?" Mags says shaking Aya. "Kakalma" Aya says as she removes her shoes. "Yeah I saw her sa company kanina, of course with her even better looking cousin" Aya says as she lays on the sofa. "Kawawa naman pagod na pagod, gamitin mo na kasi kagandahan mo teh, look for a guy who's rich and handsome" Mags says looking at Aya who seems exhausted as ever. "No thanks, just a little bit more naman madadala ko na si G dito, siya naman ang mag work" Aya says laughing the fatigue off.

After Mave left the office she went to Cal's company with their friends. It's now 1:30 in the morning, "Saan kayo galing?" Manang Feli asks Cal and Mave who's now just coming home. "Sorry po Manang pumunta kami Baguio saglit nag crave po kasi sila ng Strawberry taho" Cal says apologetically. "Manang we have pasalubong for you oh" Mave says approaching her and giving her a hug. "Bumili din po kami para sa ibang tao sa bahay" Cal says as she also gives Manang a hug. "Aba kababait lamang ng mga alaga ko" Manang says as she picks up their gifts. "Sayo lang natatanggal angas namin Manang" Cal says. "Please don't tell Dad na lang po Manang, Cal will sleep here din muna since naubos namin gas niya" Mave says as they both sneak off to bed. "Mga bata talaga ngayon" Manang says as she watch them go upstairs.

As they reach up the stairs, "Saan ka galing" a voice with an angry and disappointed tone can be heard.
