"Ate kelan mo ba ko madadala dyan?" G asks her sister Aya on call. "You know naman na I'm saving up already" Aya says apologetically. "Naiintindihan ko ko ate... I miss you lang po and gusto ko na din ma-experience buhay Manila" G says explaining. "I understand, soon, I promise" Aya says giving G a sincere smile. "Ate bakit parang walang maingay na ate Mags dyan" G says jokingly. "Oh hahahahaha nasa bahay ako nila sir Laxamana" Aya says looking around the room. "Hala bakit? Over overtime na yan ate, wag mo na lang pala ako dalin dyan" G says making Aya laugh even more. "Uto. I'm staying here muna kasi yung anak ni Mr. Laxamana kailangan ko bantayan" Aya explains. "Ano ba siya bata, tsaka bakit ngayon ko lang nalaman may anak pala si Sir Arjo" G argues. "Kasi hindi naman pala labas yun, Hindi din nag papakita tuwing presscon." Aya says explaining to G. "Sabihan mo ko ate pag sumobra sa utos yan ah" G says as she shows off her arms. "Kala mo naman may magagawa yang chopstick arms mo" Aya teases her sister. Though they are from a middle class family, not so poor but not rich as well. They didn't want to take a part of their parents profits in their small business, so Aya made the choice to move and help G follow her dreams.
It's already 1 in the morning and Mave couldn't sleep so she goes downstairs to the kitchen. "Bakit gising ka pa?" a voice behind her says. "Ay puta" Mave says surprised. She closes the fridge and sees Aya. "We should put a bell on you" she said in a monotone. "Tinatanong lang naman eh" Aya says as she opens the fridge. "I couldn't sleep" Mave says. "Work pa din?" Aya says as she gets the milk. Mave chuckles "Am I that workaholic" Aya just looks at her. "No, I just had too much coffee I guess" Mave says as she also gets milk. "Ang cute nga ni Ms. Callie eh, may pa coffee pa bumisita lang" Aya says as she sips her milk. "SHE bought YOU coffee??" Mave says with furrowed eyebrows. "Oo, bago siya pumasok sa office mo. Hindi pa nga ako nakapag thank you. Please tell her I said thanks." Aya says finishing her milk. Mave looks like she's constipated. "Are you ok?" Aya asks. "Thank her yourself." Mave says coldly then places her glass on the table. "Hey you didn't even drink the milk" Aya holds her arm. "Ubosin mo na, ayoko na pala matulog" Mave says as she leaves Aya in the kitchen. "Problema nun" Aya says.
"Wala na naman si Mavey" Mrs. Laxamana says feeling concern for her daughter. "Aya" Mr. Laxamana calls out. "Yes po sir" she says as she eats breakfast with them. "Please make sure she has breakfast with us tomorrow." Mr. Laxamana says in his deep voice. "Yes po sir" Aya says as she continues to eat. "No pressure hija, we know how hard headed Maverick is" Mrs. Laxamana says holding Aya's hand.
"Aya anak" Manang Feli calls out as Aya heads out the mansion. "Bakit po Manang?" Aya replies before entering the car. "Hindi kasi kumain ng cereal man lang si Mavey" Manang says with a concern look on her face. "Paki-sigurado naman na kakain ng tanghalian" Manang adds. "Sige po Manang, kahit subuan ko pa siya para sure" Aya jokes. "Mauna na po ako" she as she hugs her then enters the car.
Maverick left their home early in the morning. The employees were used to seeing her early but not this early. "Mave..." Aya calls out as she enters the office. "Hindi ka ba gutom? Hindi ka daw kumain ng kahit ano bago ka umalis." Aya says as she approaches Mave with a worried look. "I'm ok Aya" Mave says not looking at her. "Should I get you anything?" Aya asks Mave answers by simply shaking her head. "Did you sleep last night?" Aya asks. Mave stops typing remembering their conversation last night and what happened after.
-After leaving Aya last night-
"Minsan na nga lang mag sorry at mag first move hindi pa na count" Mave tells herself as she flops to bed. "Hindi ba obvious with the sorry note sa cup" Mave says frustrated. "Tsaka why does she think Cal would give her coffee out of nowhere??" she says twisting and turning in her bed. Mave stands and gets her phone. She then... "Hello Cal?" calls Cal at 2 in the morning. "Insan bad trip ka naman sa oras... kakatulog ko lang eh" Cal answers her voice still grungy. "Are you close with my secretary?" Mave asks almost like she's rapping. "What?" Cal's voice sleepy she's obviously uninterested with the topic. "She thought the coffee was from you." Mave says in a serious tone. A laugh can be heard from the other side. "Itulog mo yan insan" Cal says as she hungs up the call.
