Final Moments

“Masarap ba?” Ako nag luto Aya says. It's been a week or two since she's been captured she can't tell the time because she's been locked in a room with out windows and just one door. “Sobrang sarap, pwede na mag anak ah…” Jerome says hugging her waist. “Hmm kelan ba tayo aalis dito?” Aya says removing Jerome's hands. “Hindi kita pwede ilabas, alam mo naman mga nagawa ko para sayo diba!” Jerome shouts angrily. “It's ok naiintindihan ko” Aya says caressing Jerome's hand. Whenever Jerome would get angry he would hit Aya. “Sorry sa kagabi” Jerome says touching Aya's lip with a cut. “Sabi ko naman sayo wag ka magtatanong tungkol sa gabing yun” Jerome says clenching his teeth. “Gusto ko lang malaman kung kamusta ang kapatid ko at magulang ko” Aya says looking down. Jerome sighs “Ok sila, pinadalhan ko sila ng sulat wag ka mag alala” he says raising Aya's head. “Soon ipapakuha ko din sila” he says leaning in for a kiss. Aya dodges his face but hugs him tightly. “Salamat” she says.

“Dumating yan sa mansion kanina binigay ni Manang” G says handing Mave a letter. A picture of Jerome and Aya in Mave's office before with a note saying “Ok ang kapatid mo, wag niyo na kami pakialamanan, kaya ko siyang ingatan at alagaan. Hindi ko na kayo gugulohin pero wag niyo na din kami hanapin”. “Sira pala ulo niyan eh!” Shai says angrily. “Bebe kakalma hindi naman tayo papayag eh” G says rubbing her back. “Cal nakausap mo na ba yung mga tauhan ni Dad?” Mave asks with a serious look. “Nakausap na handa na sila, let's take out the trash” Cal says with a smile. “Magpaalam na muna tayo kila Tita” Jules says heading out.

“Mom…” Mave says holding her mom's shoulder. “He's already doing better, stable and doctor says he'll recover just fine” Mrs. Laxamana says. “That's good Mom, you should rest kayo din po Tita” Mave says giving a sincere smile to her mom and Aya’s mom. “Ok lang kami… gusto ng Mom mo andito siya pag gising ng Dad mo” Mrs. De Ayala says smiling. “Mom… uuwi ko na si Aya…” Mave says with a serious tone. “Nahanap niyo na siya??” Mrs. De Ayala says tearing up. “Ma wag po kayo mag alala ok po si Ate, pag po kasama na namin siya tatawag po agad ako” G says calming her mom. Mrs. De Ayala starts praying. “Anak… kakabalik lang ng Dad mo sakin… mag ingat ka please… at i-uwi mo ang asawa mo” Mrs. Laxamana says then hugging Mave tightly.

“Before anything I want you all to know how grateful I am for everything you've all done.” Mave says almost tearing up. “We're family, we'll always be here” Cal says holding Mave's shoulder. “Ma'am we're all in position” the voice says coming from the radio. “Remember…make sure no one gets hurt” Mave says voice shaking. “Bring him to us” Cal says in a serious tone.

“Boss may mga tao sa labas!” A man enters the room Jerome and Aya are in. “Ano?!” Jerome says turning red and acting frantic. “Tara na po sa rooftop pinatawag ko na ang helicopter” the man says. “Halika na!” Jerome says holding Aya's arm tightly.

“Ma'am we already cleared the rooms on the first floor” the soldier says over the radio. “Clear the whole house” Cal says over the radio. “Roger that” the soldier says.

“Shots fired! shots fire!”

“They're here!”

“Push forward push forward!”

“They have us pinned”

“Ready yung mga grenade”

“Shoot to kill na!”

“No!”

“We have them trapped!”

“Call for back up”

“Ma'am we've pinned them in a room” The soldier says. “Huh? Sino sino andoon?” Mave says worried. “Delikado to” G says. “Ma'am 1 babae at 2 lalaki po, positive na it's your wife” the soldier says. Gun shots can be heard through the radio. “Don't shoot! Don't shoot!” Mave shouts through the radio. “Hindi po kami yun ma'am, we're holding our position” the soldier says. “Pabayaan niyo na kami! Walang masasaktan kung aalis na kayo!” Mave hears through the radio. “Who's that?” Soph asks. “Ma'am yung lalaki po na bumabaril sa loob ng kwarto” the soldier says. “I'm coming in” Mave says in a serious tone and turns off the radio. “Nasisiraan ka na ba?!” Cal says pushing her a little. “We both know he'll only talk to me” Mave says putting on a bullet proof vest. “Haysss” Cal hisses angrily, “kung papasok ka papasok din kami!” Cal says putting on a vest as well. Everyone follows. “Hindi niyo kailangan gawin to” Mave says with concern. “Hindi nga eh ang kulit mo eh” Shai says putting on a hard hat. “Pagalitan pa ko ni ate pag ikaw lang sumugod” G says putting on a vest. “Alang naman ikaw lang hero sa storya” Jules says. “Ayoko maging nag iisang pogi sa pamilya” Cal says walking out of the command center.

“Jerome look at me” Aya says cupping Jerome's face, “Maybe we should go outside” Aya says caressing him. “No no no no no” Jerome says punching the wall. “Kakausapin ko sila…” Aya says “papaintindi ko na… sayo ko gusto sumama” Aya says. “Tama…” Jerome says holding Aya tightly “sabihin mo wag na tayo gugulohin at bubuo tayo ng pamilya natin” Jerome says with crazy eyes and waving a gun while explaining. “O-Oo ako bahala, pero please ibaba mo na yung baril” Aya says trying to take it from him. “Hindi! Poprotektahan ko tayo!” Jerome says holding it tighter. “Paano tayo lalabas boss” the man says. Jerome phases the room, “Ikaw shield namin” Jerome says getting an idea and holding Aya in front of him. “Lalabas tayo… sasabihin mo ang mga sinabi mo sakin at aalis tayo dito ng magkasama” Jerome says pointing a gun on Aya's back. “Oo sige basta wag mo sila babarilin” Aya says tearing up.

“May balita ba?” Cal says upon reaching the soldiers. “May mga nagsisigawan po sa loob pero no contact so far” the soldier reports. “Give me a megaphone” Mave says as a soldier hands her one “Aya! Mahal andito na ako!” Mave says through the megaphone.

“Mave??” Aya says upon hearing Mave's voice. Jerome tightens his grip “Tandaan mo may taban akong baril” he whispers to Aya. “Sabi mo wala na siya!” Aya says with anger. “Mawawala na din siya mamaya wag ka magpaka saya” Jerome says using Aya as sheild and getting out.

“Maverickkkkk!” Jerome shouts “Pakawalan niyo kami o ipuputok ko to” Jerome says hiding behind Aya. “Walang magtataas ng baril!” Mave commands the soldiers. “Jerome papakawalan ka namin pero iwan mo si Aya!” Mave negotiates. “Anong iiwan?? Sabihin mo mga sinabi mo sakin!” Jerome says commanding Aya. “Mahal look at me just keep your eyes on me” Mave says looking at Aya who's crying. “Bakit ka umiiyak! Hindi ba napasaya kita! Hindi ba aalis tayong dalawa!” Jerome says shouting at Aya. “Sabi niya patay ka na!” Aya shouts at Mave “Akala ko iniwan mo na ko” she shouts sobbing. “Hinding hindi mangyayari yun Mahal!” Mave says also tearing up. “Ma'am we have a perfect shot” the soldier says over the radio. Cal looks at Mave waiting for a signal. Mave signals wait. “Jerome! Hindi kailangan humantong sa ganito!” Mave shouts. Jerome who was also frantic and crying aims the gun to his head and places his head next to Aya's. “Sabi niya aalis kaming dalawa… kaya ko ibigay lahat pero ikaw pa rin pinipili niya!!” Jerome shouts. “Jerome please” Aya says crying hard. “I could never hurt you” Jerome says looking Aya in the eye aims the gun then…

“Now!” Cal shouts

“Target down” the soldier says over the radio. Aya runs towards Mave and hugs her. “Ate Aya” everyone joins their hug. “Finally complete na tayo” Shai says smiling. “Mave bakit parang di ka masaya” Cal says noticing Mave's silence. “Mahal…”

Mave says falling to the ground.

“Tumawag na kayo sa hospital bilis” Aya shouts kneeling next to Mave.
