The Start

“Mavey pleaseeeee” Shai begs. “Minsan na nga lang mag yaya oh” Soph says acting cute. “Hindi bagay sayo” Jules says sneering. “He! Epal!” Soph says as she pinches Jules ears. Jules scream and they chase each other around the office. “Hays pag ba pumayag ako mananahimik kayo” Mave asks the group. “Oo” the three of them say in unison. “Fine” Mave says in defeat, “basta kasama din si insan” Mave says. “Paalam ka na kay commander mo” Soph says. “Para saan pa?” Mave says. “Abs syempre maiiwan siya dito siya bahala sa work niyo” Jules says. “Who says iiwan ko siya” Mave says then stands and approaches Aya's table.

“Pack your bags” Mave says in a serious tone. “Wala man lang Hi or Hello muna” Aya says with a surprised look on her. “Hi, pack your bags… and mine too” Mave says, “we're going to Cebu” she adds. Aya excitedly stands up “On it na po right now as in now, are the flights booked? I'll book it for you na po” Aya says excitedly rambling. Mave smiles thinking how cute can this girl be. “Meet us at the airport na lang, we'll be picking up Cal muna.” Mave says wiping off the smile on her face then leaving.

“Cal…” Mave calls out as she enters Cal's office but she stops in her tracks when… “Good afternoon po Ms. Laxamana” Mags says as she greets Mave. “Sino yun?” Shai says as the three of them peak at who spoke. “Good afternoon Shai, Jules, at Soph” Mag says greeting them with a wave. “Ate Mags!” Shai says excitedly. “Ate Mags what are you doing here?” Soph says as she and Shai hug Mags, the three of them had gotten closer after their shopping session. “Ah may inayos lang with Ms. Valencia” Mag says smiling at them. “Bakit hindi ka first name basis samin?” Mave says pointing at her and Cal. “Nakakahiya po” Mag says. “Huwag ka na mahiya, just call me Mave” Mave says in a soft tone. Mags blushes and looks down. “Bakit kayo andito?” Cal says with a serious look. “Aba wala din angas” Jules jokes. “Dapat talaga pina black list na kita dito” Cal says as she rolls her eyes. “Tara Cebu” Mave casually says as she sits down. “Huh? What for?” Cal asks. “Wala lang we heard they have beautiful beaches there” Soph says. “Tsaka pretty ladies of course” Jules says clinging her arms to Mave and Cal's shoulders. Cal removes Jules arm, “Fine with me I guess”. “You should join us Mags” Mave says. “Po?” Mags flustered with the invite. “Oo nga Ate Mags, kasama din si Ate Aya” Shai says once again excited.

“Wag na po I have a lot to do here” Mags says shyly. “Join us” Cal nonchalantly says. “I'll handle everything” Cal adds. “Uuyyyyy” Jules, Shai and Soph say in unison. “Asaan nga ulit yung angas” Mave jokes as she acts like she's looking for something.

“Why are you sitting there?” Mave asks Aya as they settle themselves in the plane. “Ahh dito po sit ko?” Aya says in questioning tone. “Hindi tayo tabi?” Mave asks with furrowed eyebrows. “Ah akala ko po gusto niyo si Cal katabi” Aya says as she stands. “Palit na lang kami” Cal says, “Sino ba katabi mo?” Cal asks. “Si Mags po” Aya replies making Mags look at them. “Good” Cal says as she settles in Aya's previous sit.

“Next time, always sit next to me” Mave says as they both sit. “Yes po” Aya says. “Bakit kailangan katabi niya ko” Aya thought to herself. “Sleep ka muna it'll be a couple of hours pa naman” Mave says. “It's ok I'm too excited to sleep” Aya says. “Why are you so excited” Mave asks curiously. “I'm from there” Aya says. “Oh…” Mave was speechless for a bit of time “I'd love to meet your family” Mave says seriously.
