The Change

It's been a week since the coffee confusion. And still Maverick hasn't joined her family for breakfast.

"Please please please baka mawalan na ako ng trabaho niyo" Aya on her knees following Mave around her office. "Please get up" Mave stops. "I had breakfast on my own the other day, sabi mo lang naman I should eat before I work... so I ate" Mave says sarcasticly as she flops down her couch. "Well now I'm telling you to have breakfast with us" Aya says authoritatively as she stands.

"Ayan lagotttt" Shai says as they enter Mave's office. "Patay galit si Commander" Jules teases. "Tignan nga natin angas mo ngayon" Soph adds to the teasing. "What are you four doing here?" Mave says continuing to work. "We're here to fetch you lang insan" Cal says. "Where are we going?" Mave says not looking at them.

"Shoppingggggg" Shai and Soph scream in their high pitched voices.

"What for?" Mave says obviously irritated. "For the upcoming Annual Legacy Gala" Jules says casually. "What's that?" Mave says making her look at Cal. "It's this annual social gathering for the company heirs here sa Philippines" Cal says explaining to Mave. "Sadyang you've never attended that's why you don't know" Soph adds rolling her eyes at Mave. "And I don't plan to attend now... or anytime soon" Mave says as she continues typing. "Actually you don't have a choice, you're being crowned that night" Cal says while giving a meaningful look at Jules. "Receive the award for me then" Mave says nonchalantly. "That's not how it works" Jules says. "Tsaka Tito and Tita already said to drag you there if we have to." Cal says approaching Aya. Mave sees this and... "How about we make our families proud." she says standing up and getting her stuff, "Let's Go before I change my mind". "Aya get your stuff na din" Cal says holding Aya's arm. ""Po?" Aya says lost as always. "We'll buy you something to wear din... you'll be joining us that night" Cal says smiling and stealing glances at Mave. "As long as you're paying for it" Mave says monotone as she leaves the office.

"so what do you want to wear?" Cal says asking Aya who's looking around. "Uhmm ikot po muna ako" Aya says simply. "Aya?" someone calls out from behind. "Uy Mags" Aya says as she hugs her friend. "Bakit ka andito?" Mags asks. "Kasama ko mga boss ko, bibili sila ng susuotin nila." Aya says looking at the group busy on their own. "Hala andyan si pogi" Mags says blushing. "Oh ikalma mo, tulongan mo nga ako pumili ng damit" Aya says dragging her. "Hala teh ikaw din? Ang mahal mahal dito." Mags says to her friend with concern. "Magkano ba yung pinaka murang dress" Aya asks. "Mga nasa 4-5k" Mags says looking through the rack. "Ah kaya yan ibabawas ko na lang sa sweldo" Aya says. "Dollars beh ha" Mags says making Aya stop. "May dress pa naman akong nagagamit" Aya says, about to put back the red dress she was trying on.

"Don't worry about the price" Mave says stopping her. "I was just kidding earlier, ako na bahala" Mave adds taking the dress. "Pili ka pa then try them on." Mave adds holding the dress for Aya and going through the rack for her. "Ah hindi na po, I promise I have something to wear" Aya says trying to take the dress from Mave. "Just pick 3 dresses" Mave says giving Aya a serious look. "Ay ako na po bahala sa kanya Ms. Laxamana, pili na po kayo ng inyo." Mags says taking the dress from Mave and encouraging Aya to try more dresses.

"Aba napapa gastos ah" Jules says teasing Mave as she looks at Aya. "Hala libre mo Mavey??" Shai asks trying to act cute. "No, ano kayo naghihirap" Mave says as she's being fitted. "Ibenta mo mga pop marts mo kung naghihirap ka" Cal says butting in. "Sino yung cutie na kasama ni Aya kanina" Soph asks Cal. "Si Mags? she's an intern designer" Cal says as she's also being fitted. "Ang cute niya and soaper baittt" Shai says as they look on to Aya and Mags. "Let's invite her din to the party" Soph says. Jules sighs "Why would you invite her, hindi naman kayo close" mocking Soph. "Epal mo" Soph says. "I think it'd be good to invite her" Cal says not looking at them. "I'll go tell her to pick a dress din." Shai says excitedly and leaves to go to Aya and Mags. "Your paying for hers right?" Mave whispers to Cal jokingly. "It'll be good for Aya to have someone she knows din in the crowd" Cal says trying to explain why. "Hmmmm" Mave looks at Cal with a smirk. "What?" Cal asks innocently. "That might work with Jules and the others... pero kilala kita pre tingin pa lang" Mave says leaving Cal not letting her answer.
