" who's JJ?"
"No one, Jim." Topper told him in a sigh, he hated lying to Jimmy but he wanted their mother's approval way more so he stayed away from the JJ and Jimmy topic as much as humanly possible.
He knew Jimmy would find out soon anyway since him and JJ were identical.
Kelce, sensing the tension and noticing Topper's attempt to change the subject, decided to jump in next, "Yeah, just a pain in everyone's ass, Jimmy" he said, following Topper's lead, "Best if you stay away from him."
Rafe chuckled at Kelce's comment, joining in on the attempt to divert Jimmy's attention, "Definitely steer clear of that one, love. JJ's nothing but trouble." he explained simply which Jimmy just nodded at slowly.
Kelce, noticing Jimmy's confusion, decided to steer the conversation back to a more light-hearted topic, "So, Jimmy" he said, a grin on his face, "Apart from picking pockets and trying to steal our stuff, what other mischief do you get into these days?"
"Skateboarding.. everything over here seems.. snobby? Sorry" Jimmy stated and he looked away from the three of them as his mind ran around why they wouldn't tell him about this 'JJ' guy.
Rafe snorted at Jimmy's words, "No need to apologize, Jam" he said, his tone understanding, "The Outer Banks can certainly be a bit snobbish. But hey, not all of us are stuck-up assholes, I'm sure."
"I have yet to see if that's true" Jimmy argued lightly as he looked back at Rafe with a smile. Kelce instantly faked offense, putting a hand over his heart dramatically, "I'm hurt, Jimmy. You see me standing right here, yeah?" he said, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Mhm" Jimmy hummed and smirked before he stood up, walked over to Kelce and kissed him on the cheek making Kelce's eyes widened in surprise at the suddenness, a mix of shock and amusement on his face. "Well, well, well," Kelce said, smiling at Jimmy before he looked over at the other Thornton boy, "your baby brother is a little flirt, Top"
