Chapter Nine

It was Monday and Trevor had never been so excited to go school before.  It was slightly shocking to him but he didn't mind at all, it just meant that everything was going better for him. He took his shower and got dressed in his skinny jeans and his Little Mermaid shirt, attaching the suspenders so that he was wearing them behind him, they were kind of like laying across his butt. Any styling his hair he placed the beanie on his head. When he was finished he raced downstairs where Alex was eating breakfast. Alex looked up and his eyes bulged, "DAMN, I'm dating THAT?" He asked, pretty loudly and Trevor raised his eyebrow.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing! I just... you look AMAZING," Alex said trying to save his screw up in his dialogue. Trevor smiled, "Good, because I picked this outfit to impress you, and myself, hell and half the damn school." Alex and Trevor both laughed and when they finished breakfast they grabbed their school supplies and they were off.

When they got there they walked to their first period, they sat down and got the supplies they needed out and waited for school to start.

The day passed pretty quickly, but it was the hallways that made Trevor smile the most. Everyone kept staring at him. It made him nervous, If it hadn't been for someone actually complimenting him he would have thought he would turn to school.

"You look really good today Trevor," It had been Staci who had told him, it kind of shocked him because Staci never liked anything, anyone ever did. At the time her and the cheerleaders had corned him in the hallway while Alex had gone to the bathroom. He had been scared at the time, but when she had given him the compliment he blushed and noticed that she had a strand of her hair in her hand twirling it around her finger. "Like really good, hey I have a question for you," She told him and he nodded subtly.

"Your friends with that new boy Alex right?" Again he nodded, curious about where she was going with this.

"While could you give him my number? He's like the nicest piece of ass in this whole school and I kind of want you to help us hook up." She said, now Trevor was truly speechless.

"No, I won't help you," He told her and she seemed to grow mad by his answer.

"Excuse me? What did you just say? Did you just tell me no?" She said surprised herself, no one had ever told her that word before, "Who do you think you are? You don't tell me no, you WILL help us hook up little gay boy."

"No!" He screamed it this time.

"Why do you think you get to tell me no?"

"Because he's my Boyfriend," He told her and she just scoffed.

"I don't care," By this time Alex had returned from going to the bathroom and almost went over to help Trevor but what was said next made his jaw drop. "I don't care if you care or not Staci, I'm not going to help you get with my boyfriend, besides I know for a fact that he would turn you down for two reasons."

"Oh yeah, what are those reasons little boy?"

"Well for reason number 1, you Staci are like a fucking penny, you're two-faced, worthless, and in everyone's pants, oh and like a penny you've been forgotten in the washer so many times that you're slightly rusty and pretty moldy. Reason number two is, why would my boyfriend want something as crusty as you when he can have pure like me?" Everyone had stopped to hear the argument and when they had heard Trevor roast Staci like that they had all busted out in laughter. Everyone except the cheerleaders, Staci, Alex and Trevor were laughing. Staci was incredibly embarrassed that she screamed and stomped away, Trevor could see the tears falling and he grew even more sad than he already was feeling. He hated being mean, he had just been so mad, he hadn't meant any of it. The cheerleaders were in shock, but when they got over it they all chased after their leader. As soon as they parted Alex saw Trevor and when their eyes connected Trevor ran.

"Trevor!" Alex cried after him and started to chase him down. It took him a while but he eventually was able to catch up. Only because Trevor had run out of breath, "Trevor, why did you run?" He asked and when Trevor turned around he was crying.

"I shouldn't have said any of that! Oh my God Alex, I was so horrible. I've never been so mad though, am I a bad person?" He asked, wiping at the tears on his face.

"No, of course not babe, you just let your anger get the best of you. Now how about let's go see if we can find her and you can apologize," Alex replied and Trevor nodded. Alex pulled Trevor into his arms. He let Trevor sob for a second before they started to walk back towards the school.

"Don't feel sad that you got protective babe, it means that you just care about us and it was instinct to protect yourself and what is rightfully yours," Alex said before they walked through the doors and he winked at the boy.

They had only gotten a little bit down the hall before Alex's phone went off.

"Hold on Trevor, I have to check this," He said stopping and pulled his phone out, he opened his messages and read the newest one before paling and dropping his phone.

"Alex? What's wrong?" Trevor asked, shaking Alex's arm and Alex just looked at him, fear written all over his face.

"What, what is it?" Trevor asked once more and the words spoken next made him gasp louder than ever before.

"Caleb escaped from prison, they believe he's on his way here," Alex said almost robotically.
