Last One Bites the Dust.

Chapter Five

It had been 48 hours since Alex had asked Trevor to be his boyfriend and he was still wearing the biggest grin anyone had ever seen. He had gotten to meet a couple of Alex's friends over Skype yesterday and they seemed so nice to him, they even were going to get to hang out all weekend. He was so excited he barely paid attention in school. Not that it mattered, he was passing with flying colors. Alex had gone to the office that morning and had begged them to change his classes so he had the same schedule as Trevor. If that wasn't enough he had even gotten the teachers to put him besides Trevor. It warmed his heart so much, they would sit there and hold hands while taking notes or doing their work, listening to music through their headphones (Alex had went bought this cool device where it plugged into your phone and than it sprouted into two different headphone jacks so they could use their own ear phones and still listen to the same music together. No one could deny the fact that both of them were sickly cute together. It made some of the girls jealous of Trevor, but no one even shoulder barged him anymore. They stayed clear of the couple, there were still glares and name calling behind the boy's back, but no one hurt him anymore. 

The bell had just rung and both boys started to walk home that day after school to work on homework together, they held hands, even though they were sweaty neither boy cared because they were with the other.

It had been several weeks since Trevor had been home and it still bothered him whenever they walked by his old "house" but neither of his parents had been home, however when they walked past it that day he saw something that shocked and hurt him, there was a "For Sale," sign in front of his creators home. Both of them were outside in the front yard talking to someone who Trevor could guess was the Real Estate Agent. Trevor could see from here that his father was sporting a new scar on his cheek, probably from Alex punching him and possibly cutting his cheek open, he didn't know though. When they saw Trevor his father glared at them before bringing the Agent inside. His mother stayed outside though and ran towards Trevor.

"MY BABY!" She screamed and Trevor dropped Alex's hand as she crashed into them.

"Mom? W-what's going on?" He said shaking slightly trying not to cry.

"I'm so sorry for the way I've been treating you! It was so unfair to you. Please forgive me," She begged and it confused him.

"Why are you telling me now, and not the past 6 years you've been torturing me for being gay?" He wanted to know, a slight determination in both his eyes and voice that made Alex swell with pride for his boyfriend.

"You're right, I've been horrible to you these past few years, but when you left I started to look back on those years and I started to hate myself for it. I realized that I've given you nothing but pain for something you couldn't control, Please son understand that I was only like that because of the family I grew up with. They were all conservative and hateful towards the LGBTQA community and I just took after them, but with you gone I did some research and some of the things I saw broke my heart, and than I figured out that that's what we had been doing too you and I started to hurt all over again. I love you, I never stopped loving you, I just at the time hadn't like who you liked and though I'm not completely for it I can get over it and accept you just so I can have my son back again. I miss you so much," She said in tears, Trevor having joined her.

"I forgive you mommy," He said hugging her. They stood there hugging each other and his mom just kept saying, "I love you" and "I'm sorry," in his ear. Eventually they pulled away from each other and wiped the remaining tears from their face before Trevor asked again, "What's going on? Why is there a for sale sign outside our house?"

"Me and your father are splitting up and selling the house to go our separate ways hon. You see, while you were gone me and him never stopped fighting, he still loathes you and he would never stopping saying such horrible things about you and your boyfriend here, by the way, seems like such a fine boy," She told him holding her hand out, to which Alex took and shook it and saying, "Hi ma'am, I'm Alex,"

"He also has manners, good catch my boy," She told Trevor who they both giggled when Alex blushed and he could see where he got the good looks, "Anyways," she continued. "He never stopped so I told him if he did it again we were through and he just continued so I filed for an annulment of our marriage and to help we are selling the house and each taking half of the money to get new places each. He's moving back closer to his parent's in Ohio and I'm staying here, nearby too." Trevor looked shocked. "I'm not asking for you to move back in, but I am asking that you will at least come visit me at some point, will you do that for me at least because I don't want to miss a second of your life any more than I already have," She said holding a key out to him. Trevor looked shocked, but it was Alex who took the key and told her, "Of course we will visit, if you will at least let me come as well ma'am." She smiled and replied with, "I wouldn't have it any other way, and please call me Mandy."
