Last One Bites the Dust.

Chapter Ten

"Caleb i-is WHAT?" Trevor screamed, Alex had been sure the Neil Armstrong would have been able to hear him from his space shuttle.

"Caleb escaped from prison, please don't make me repeat myself babe." Alex asked in slightly desperation, "I'm sorry Alex," Trevor said a frown on his face and Alex lifted Trevor's face to look him in the eyes once more. "You have nothing to apologize for babe," Alex told him and leaned down to kiss him lightly on the lips.

"Besides Caleb probably wont know where to look, IF he was even looking for me, now how about we just head home cause this day has just gotten worse for the both of us," Trevor nodded and they left walking back to Alex's house. Upon entry they both just walked up to Alex's bed and laid down, falling asleep in each other's arms.

They didn't wake up until a few hours later, when Alex's mom arrived home. "What are you boys doing home so early?" She asked when they came down the stairs. 

"We couldn't take it today mom, we both were having just horrible days and we decided it would be best if we just came home before we had meltdowns at school." Alex told her while Trevor cuddled up against him.

"What happened sweetie?" Rose, Alex's mom asked and Trevor started to tear up again. Alex looked at him and asked his boyfriend if he wanted Alex to tell her and he nodded. Alex told his mom everything that had happened that day and by the end Rose held Trevor tight while he cried again before looking at Alex, "As sad as that sounds that's no reason for you to be home," She said and he sighed before looking her in the eyes, "Caleb escaped from prison last night." She gasped, "Oh God, NOT HIM!" She screamed and Alex began to wonder if everyone he knew were related to banshees. "Yes mom, him," He told her taking a deep breath.

"If you see him than you tell me at once, you understand mister?" She demanded and Alex nodded his head, "Yes Ma'am."

"Good, I don't want hi to hurt you and especially Trevor, we just got this poor boy out of his shell, if Caleb gets ahold of him than so help me God, I will personally hunt him down, it will not be a pretty sight when I'm done with him." She told him, Alex could tell that she truly meant it. He tried to picture what she would do and he paled.

"Just protect him Alex," He nodded and gave her his word that he would protect his boyfriend. "Good," She told him before walking away and Trevor hopped back into Alex's arms again. Trevor's head was buried deep into Alex's chest while Alex ran his hand through Trevor's hair.

"It's going to be alright hun, he is not going to ever find you, let alone lay a hand on you," Alex said softly trying to calm Trevor down.

They sat there for about an hour before Alex's phone went off and he reached over to grab it. Unlocking his phone he pulled up the messages to see he had a new one from a blocked cell number, 'Hey Alex baby, I can't wait to get rid of your new boyfriend so it can just be you and me again,' Alex's jaw dropped and he shook in fear, 'How does he know? He just got out yesterday, there is no way he would know unless, maybe he has help from somebody keeping tabs on us. But who would do such a thing?' It scared him, but he wouldn't let Trevor know, he didn't need his boyfriend to flip out anymore than he already had. 'Maybe I can talk to one of my friends and see if there is any way they can help.' He waited until Trevor had fallen asleep and called Areia and Jacob.

"Hey dude, what's up?" Jacob asked when he picked up.

"Caleb escaped from prison yesterday," Now Areia was the one who gasped and Alex nodded even though he knew the other two couldn't see him.

"He also texted me saying he was going after Trevor, I need your guy's help," Alex said slight desperation in his voice.

"Yeah man what do you need us to do?" Jacob asked and Alex smiled, "Great, I was wondering if you could possibly move over here to help me keep an eye on Trevor?"

"Yeah dude, we just need a place to stay," Jacob said and he could hear Areia agree in the background. "Awesome you guys, I will do everything in my power to help you guys, he said and they agreed before hanging up that they'd all go apartment shopping that weekend.

After he was off the phone he called Maria.

"Hello?" She said answering her phone and when Alex asked the same thing from her as he had Areia and Jacob she didn't hesitate before saying yes.

"Thank you so much Maria," He told her.

"Of course I want Trevor to be safe, he has had it so rough before you and I don't want some douche to get in the way of that."

"Funny, my mom said almost the same thing to me earlier today."

After that he hung up the phone and laid back down before receiving another text.

'No matter how many friend you get to go against me it's not going to be enough to keep me away, I promise you this, that one of the people you know won't make it much longer unless you give him up and get back with me.'

It scared Alex to the core of his entire being and realized that the only way to save his friends, family and the best thing to ever happen to him he was going to have to hurt them and give himself up to the evil power that was his ex.

"I'm sorry Trevor," he said before writing a note for the younger boy in bed and walking outside.

As soon as he was out the front door a car pulled up and the window rolled down, "Long time no see my friend, now get in quietly and I promise no harm will come to you or your friends."
