CHAPTER 3:
Cogan and the second attacker in the team launched forward at the dragon. It saw it and did not hesitate,
*ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR*
It launched its huge hand forward towards them. As it came, Cogan jumped out of it's way. The other guy stopped in his tracks, stood his ground, his eyes glowed and he raised his shield up. Then a golden oval coloured shaped barrier appeared before him, the dragon hand struck it and it released a powerful shockwave that shook the Earth around them.
The dust died down, the golden coloured shield is seen with a few cracks running through it and the dragon's large hand on it.
The attacker was bearly holding his ground against it and with his cracked shield. It was only a matter of time before it falls apart completely. Suddenly Cogan jumps in with his great sword raised high into the air, with a powerful swing he struck the dragons hand.
*THUG*
A loud sound erupted on impact and the dragon roared out in pain, Cogan stood infront of his teammate.
"You Okay" He asked,
"Yeah I'll be fine" His teammates replies,
"Good cause its not over yet" Cogan said.
The dragon drew it's hand back and Cogan eyes widened in shock to see, no damage, not even a scratch on its hand.
It roared loudly into the air and opened its mouth, they know what comes next.
"Now" Cogan yells,
The mages begin to chant a spell,
"Lords of the heavens we beseech thee bring our enemy burning torture for they shall see the power of your might" They said in unison and stretched their staffs, then an incantation circle appeared in front of both thier staffs.
The incantation circle combined forming a larger circle in front of both of them,
"Divine Flame" They yelled,
Then a fire ball of tremendous size shot at the dragon, a direct hit to its face and stopped it from spitting fire and burning the 2 attackers to a crisp.
*GROWL* *GROWL*
It growled and slowly turned to the mages,shiver of fright went down thier spines but they didn't bulge from thier position. They panicked but stayed focus on thier main goal,
"Divine flame"
They yelled and burst of flame surged out of the circle with force. The dragon opened its mouth and with a deep breath purple flame burst from it mouth and both flames clashed in an attempt to extinguish each other.
As both flame clashed, the point the flame met grew hotter and hotter, taking the temperature of the surrounding up. The mage stood thier ground but there were no match for the dragon fiery breath. The purple flame began to overtake the red flame, as the mage grew weaker and weaker, so did thier power and flame. The purple flame got closer and closer to them, they couldn't hang on any longer.
Right before the purple flame could touch them, a golden colored barrier appeared and surrounded them. The dragon unleashed all its power into its fiery breath, even the trees behind the barrier began to burn and slowly disintegrate into ash.
"Cogan"
The attacker yelled Cogan name, unable to keep his barrier on for much longer.
Cogan ram towards the dragon, he was surprisingly fast for a great sword user. The blade of the great sword shone white in color.
The dragon saw him coming and began to flap its huge wings, floating into the air and moving backwards with his fiery breath still on The mage.
Cogan jumped into the air, he had the dragon's head right beneath him.
"Impact......" He swung his sword down,
"Crash" He yelled,
But with one flap from its wing, the dragon flew out if its range and Cogan blade struck the ground. The impact shook the ground and released shockwaves that pushed the dragon backwards. The mage didn't waist time and exploited this opportunity, the raised thier staffs and stretched it towards the dragon from a distance.
"Leafage"
She yelled and a gush of wind gathered around her staff before it glowed green and shot forward towards the dragon.
"Emperor"
He yelled and fire burst out of his staff and shot forward towards the dragon.
