  CHAPTER 8:

[THE NEXT DAY]
At the same adventurer guild from last night, the attendant with blonde hair and glasses is seen taking out paper from her desk.
She walks away from her counter, to the mission board and begins to paste new available missions on the board as she hums her favourite song. Bridget returns to her counter, getting things ready. Soon adventurers would burst through those doors at any moment, for food missions and the whole place would become rowdy.

*SIGH* She sighs

"Mornings are tough" She says,

Suddenly she heard the doors burst open behind her, she rubs her eyes.

"Whyyyyy" She says exhausted,

"Thier not this early" She says to her self,

She turns around, only to see Cogan and his team walking towards her, looking all banged up as always.

"What happened to you" She asked worried but not surprised,

"We got it pretty bad bridget" Cogan say's forcing  a smile.

"You see this is Why I say not to ask me for favours, the only Reason let you guys go and face a B rank monster because even though you all are C rank, you have a number advantage"She say's.

Cogan smiles,
"Noted" He said.

His teammates sat on the empty chairs they found around them, they were the only ones in the dinner.

"I'm just glad you are alright" She say's,

"Thanks" Cogan say's and drops a really large sack on Bridget's counter. She could have easily guessed what it was and give them thier money but she had to be sure. She rips one part open only to see a large lifeless eye starring at her.

Bridget then stretched her hand towards it and it began to glow until it vanishes completely, she stares at all of them, doing a head count and realising they were only five in number.

"What about the last guy, the mysterious one with cloak and hoody" She asks,

The rest who already dozing off were suddenly jolted awake by her question but none wanted to answer. Even Cogan was unusually quiet which was strange, so she imagined the worst.

"Wait don't tell me, is he"

"no,no, no he is very much alive" Cogan cuts in knowing what she had in mind.

Bridget gave a sigh of relief but the questioning was not over,

"So where is he now, he didn't bother to get his own share of the kill" She asked finding it quite suspicious.

"Who was that friend of yours bridget"
Cogan asked, letting out the thing that's been bothering him since last night.

"Friend ?" She asked,
"No I don't even know, never seen him around here before" She said,

"What exactly happened"
Bridget asked wanting to know the whole thing, she sensed something unsettling about thier silence.

"Who ever he was, he saved our life and single handedly slayed a B rank dragon without struggle" Cogan says,

"That's impossible"Bridget snaps, in disbelief.
It was impossible, even a lone A ranker would struggle to take down a beast of that magnitude.

"Was in an S ranker"
She asked Cogan, but Cogan was totally clueless and still has headache from last night,

"I don't know, all I know is that he has purple hair and was really powerful and could also summon the undead" He explains,

"A necromancer?"
Bridget asked, she has only come across 2 necromancer in her life, but none with purple hair.

"Bridget is there a room or 2 I still have headaches from last night" Cogan said,

"Yes we do have 2, the one who used it yesterday left early this morning like they were in a hurry" Bridget said.
Bridget turns and draws out the rooms keys followed my a large size pouch filled with gold coins. Cogan stared at it,

"There you go"
She said, but Cogan didn't collect it from her. rather he asked,

"Where is the second bag of money" He asked, he didn't need to count before knowing the amount wasn't up the amount they supposed to collect.

Bridget looks at him,
"There is no second bag" She says,
when it comes to money matters adventurers can get pretty violent and aggressive in the meanest way possible.

Author note:
Went overboard with the writing and had to split the chapter into 2, my bad.
