We were walking back from the store back to my place, I didn't know how long we've been in the store but it must of been a long time.  The streets were starting to get dark, and we were about 20 minutes away from my house.  I stood there in the middle of the street to calculate how long it would take for it to get fully dark when Danny bumped into me from behind.  "Watch were your going!" I yelled at him without thinking.  about 2 seconds later a large horde of zombies came from the alleys and into the streets, my eyes widened as the horde got bigger and bigger.

"Gosh Bridget, you're loader than my rifle." Danny said

"Maybe you should watch were your going and your tone!" I said and I slowly raised the machete in my hand.  I heard Danny gulp and he looked away.  I snapped back into reality as the zombies were getting closer, they were about 10 yards away from us. I could smell them rotting from where we stood.  The stench was so strong that my eyes watered a little.  I quickly started counting them, there was about 40 of them.  We couldn't kill all of them, it would be to dangerous.

I tapped Danny on the arm, he looked at me.  I put my finger over my mouth telling him to be quite.  I pointed to our right where there was a small space for us to escape.  There was a large rock closer to our feet, I picked it up and threw it in the opposite direction of where we were going to run.  Instead of landing on the ground and making a loud noise it hit a zombie in the chest.  The zombie fell down with a Thump! but it wasn't enough to change the course of the zombies.  The zombies were now about 10 feet away from us, I had to think quick before we were toast.

I grabbed Danny's arm and tugged him towards the space I pointed out before, we started to sprint over to finally escape the large horde.  I raised my machete and kept running, I got closer to a zombie, I swung the machete and at it's neck.  The zombie's head went flying off it's body, more and more got in the way of us.  I looked up at Danny, I shock my head telling him that we can't make it.  He rolled his eyes at me "Lets just try and get through, we might have to kill a lot of zombies but hey, we've made it this far in life." He whispered in my ear. He raised his metal baseball bat and swung the bat into the head of an near by zombie.

"How are you so sure that we can make it?" I asked wondering if I will live past this day because of my temper.

"Like I said, we've made this far what makes you think we can't make it through this?"

"But look how many there are, even I can't kill this many."

"Let's just try, you can't give up without trying." Danny gave me a smile that gave me a little bit of hope.

"Fine." I lifted my machete and swung at a zombie closest to me.  The dark blade was lodged in it's neck, I yanked the machete out and the zombie went to it's knees and didn't move.  Now there was a large crowd around us, there was no chance of escape.  We had to kill all of them.
