I woke up hear loud breathing next to my head.  I turned my head and saw Danny right in my face.  I shot up in my bed and looked at him angrily.  "What the crap!? you scared me!"  I slightly yelled at him, not wanting zombies near to hear me.  "I was just waiting till you got up.  We need food."

"We?"

"Yeah, I can be a big help to you, now let's go."

"I thought I got food yesterday."

"Well, I sort of ate all the candy, I got hungry."

When he said that I was about to grab the knife I keep under my pillow and slash him to bits.  I mean come on! He ate all my food and that makes me mad.  But instead of slashing him, I punched him in the face.

"Ow! What the crap!"  Danny said holding his nose, which started to bleed a little.

"You ate all my food? You're a complete moron! All my work to get that food was for nothing!  And you know what? That was the last bag of Twix in the whole city, I should know I looked, and you ate them all!" I screamed not thinking.

"I'm sorry, here, lets just go out and get more.  The store is only about a 10 minute walk, we can get food and get out.  Easy as that."  Danny said covering his face in case I punched him again.

I got out of bed and opened the door, "Do you mind? I have to get ready so we can go."  I said waving my hand out the door.  Danny smiled and went out of my room and into the living room.

I took off my PJ's and got into a Dark army green V-neck and some black jeans.  I put on my black boots, which I have hidden a pocket knife in.  I walked over to my closet which is full of my hand-held weapons, I grabbed my metal baseball bat and walked out of my room.

I walked into the living room and found candy wrappers everywhere, I followed the trail and saw Danny laying on my couch.  I twitched my eye, I sighed and grabbed my backpack which was thrown on the floor.  I opened the fridge to get a bottle of water and stuffed it into my backpack.  I went back into my room and put my favorite black crowbar in my backpack.

I walked back into the living room and slapped Danny behind the head.  "What was that for?" He asked putting his hand behind his head.  "You are cleaning up all the wrappers am I clear?  I am nice enough to let you stay in my little home and you trash it.  I am not going to pick up after you or else you'll be kicked out. Am I clear?" I said sounding like a drill Sargent.  "Yeah Okay, now lets go."  Danny said getting up from the couch and grabbing his hunting rifle.

"The gun stays here." I said folding my arms across my chest.

"Why?"

"The noise, how do you think so many zombies were after you? They are attracted by sound."

"Well what am I supposed to use?"

"Follow me,"  I led him into my room and to my closet where I keep my weapons. Danny looked at my collection for a few moments and picked the dark bladed machete.  "Nice blade, where did you find it?" Danny asked.  "Found it in a hunting store about 5 miles from here, I had to fight a zombie for it though." I said laughing a little at my stupid joke.  Danny cocked an eyebrow and shrugged.

"Lets go." I said and we walked out the door. I locked my door behind me and put the key in my pant pocket.  "Do you really have to lock it?  It's not like a burglar is going to come." Danny asked. "You can never be to careful."  I said not looking at him and started to walk onto the street.

We were going past a few crashed cars when I got a weird feeling.  I looked around us to see any danger, but didn't see anything.  I began to walk slower as we got closer to the store.  I kept having a feeling that we shouldn't go anymore until I couldn't take it anymore.  "We shouldn't be here."  I said looking around again.  "Why?  I can see the store from here, why stop now?"  Danny asked holding the machete tighter.  "I have a feeling that we shouldn't go into the store, something bad is going to happen."  I said looking back at the store, it was dead silent around us.  "Whatever."  Danny said and walked past me and headed to the store. I stayed in the street and watching get closer and closer to the door.

He was about 5 feet away from the door when he stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes grew wide as he slowly began to walk back to me like nothing happened.  "What did you find?"  I asked with a smirk on my face.  "That store in full of zombies,  there is about 10 in each aisle.  I am definitely not going in there."   Danny said his voice a little shaken.

"Well I think that there is another store about 4 minutes from here, I haven't gotten much from there, maybe it has more food and water."  I said and began to walk to a inter section and started to turn left.  There were a few zombies in the road, I could easily get through.  I started jogging up the road with light foot steps and being quiet as possible while Danny was running noisily behind me.  I stopped and turned my head.  "Could you be anymore loud?"  I said in a harsh whisper.  Danny mouthed "sorry"  and I started jogging again.

We got closer and closer to the zombies, I held my metal baseball bat in my hand.  Once I got close enough I jumped in the air and smashed the baseball bat on the zombie's head.  The zombie went down, unmoving, now for the others.  I connected my baseball bat with the heads of the wandering zombies.  I looked over to my left, one zombie left.  I grinned and ran as quickly as I could to the zombie an clashed my bat into it's upper neck.  I hit the zombie so hard that it's head came flying off it's body.  The dead body fell, with blood squirting out of the open neck.

I look behind me and see Danny unmoved with wide eyes and his jaw looked like it could touch the ground.  "Holy shit."  I heard him say under his breath with his jaw still open.

"What?"

"You just took out 8 zombies so fast my eyes could barley catch up to you.  And you just hit a zombie in the neck and his head flew off. I have never seen that before, you are amazing!"  Danny exclaimed.  I couldn't help but blush a little.

We made it to the store, I slowly opened the door making no sound as possible.  I glided my back against the wall to look out for any zombies in the store.  "It's to dark in here I can't see."  Danny whispered in my ear very softly.  I took off my backpack and pulled out a flashlight I carry around where ever I go.  I turned it on and gave it to Danny.  He shined the light in front of me so I could see as I was moving across the wall.

So far, 6 zombies I have counted.

I put my right foot against the wall and pushed off it to help me get a fast start.  There was one zombie in what looked like the hygiene aisle.  I smashed my baseball bat right into the head of the zombie, she fell, face first into the deodorant on my floor.  I knew the other zombies in the store heard the kill so I quickly exited the aisle.  I jogged up to Danny who hadn't moved from his spot.  "Switch me" I mouthed and I took the machete away from his hand and put the baseball bat in his hand.

I walked over to the small group of zombies that had formed where I had killed the first zombie.  I lifted the machete in my hands and sliced through a squishy neck on the closest zombie to me.  His head fell off and hit the ground with a thump.  The remaining 4 zombies started shifting towards me.  Big mistake for them.  In once slice at the right angle I managed to cut off all 4 heads of the zombies.  Blood was everywhere. I stepped back and wiped the blood off my face with my arm.

Danny walked up to me, "That was cool."  He said and pointed the flashlight to the dead bodies.  I picked up 2 bottles of deodorant and put them in my backpack.  This may be the zombie Apocalypse but I didn't want my armpits to smell bad.

We walked to the canned goods aisle, to my surprise there was more food then we could carry that was still able to eat.  I packed 5 cans of beef soup in my backpack and 6 cans of tuna.  Danny packed 3 can of spaghetti sauce and 3 boxes of spaghetti.

We went to the Soda aisle and found 2 liter bottles of Sprite, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper.  The first thing I went for was the Dr. Pepper, I didn't have enough room in my backpack to I made Danny carry it.

We finished packing our goods and started heading home.  We were about 15 minutes away from home and I bet it wasn't even noon yet.  I felt relieved that I can got home and relax. I was also anxious to go home and drink my Dr. Pepper.
