We were walking down the flight of stairs to the main floor. Sabrina was right behind me and Danny lingered behind her, I didn't feel like seeing Danny at the moment and I could tell that he didn't want to look at me either.

We got to the main floor, I walked up to the two front glass doors and pushed them open. A gush of wind brushed against me and the smell of the undead filled my nose. I walked out of the building and waited for the others to come out as well. Sabrina came out first and took the lead, "It's over here, past the mall and about a mile from there." Sabrina said and lifted her backpack higher onto her shoulders.

Danny came out of the building and blocked his eyes from the sun. His gaze then drifted onto me, Danny gaze quickly went up the street were Sabrina was pointing. Danny cleared his throat and then said "H-How long is it going to take us to get there?" "About 2 hours, its a long trip but I promise that it is worth it." Sabrina said with a smile.

We have been on the road for about 20 minutes when I realized something. "Hey Sabrina?" I called after her.

"Yeah?"

"I've noticed that you don't have a weapon, why is that?"

"Oh I forgot to mention that my father was a 5th Degree black belt in Karate and so he taught me everything he knew. So you can say that my fists are my weapons."

I stared at her for a moment with large eyes, shook my head and continued walking up the road. We past many buildings that looked as though they were burned. The wood on the buildings have molded over these years making the buildings look black. Some buildings were even leaning towards the right because they were so unstable.

My pace grew slower because I was looking in horror at these buildings and all those moments that were once inside them, good and bad. As I was looking Danny bumped into me and we both fell over.

"OOF!"

"Goddamn it Danny watch were you're going!"

"I'm so sorry Bridget, I wasn't looking."

He then lifted his body off of mine, he then lost balance and quickly put his hand down to catch himself. "DANNY!" I yelled, "GET YOUR HAND OFF MY BREAST!" Danny looked down at me and saw that his hand was on my breast. His cheeks flushed bright red and quickly removed his hand off from my chest and stood up. He did look at but he held out his hand. I rolled my eyes and put my hand into his and he lifted me up. I brushed the dirt off of my clothes and straightened my backpack on my shoulders. I walked up to him and slapped him across the face as hard as I could.

"What the hell Danny! Be more careful and watch your own movements! Anything else like that and I will kill you with my bare hands!"

"I'm sorry..."

"You know, you're kind of a dumb-ass sometimes!"

As I said that Danny's eyes grew large with anger. "I said I'm sorry Bridget what more do you want from me?!" Danny yelled at the top of his lungs. "You dumb-ass! You just put us in danger! Now there is going to be a large horde of the undead to eat us thanks to you!" I said yelling in a harsh whisper. Danny opened his mouth to say something but then stopped. I heard groaning from where we came from. We both turned our heads to see a large crowd of zombies coming towards us. "Oh shit..." We both said under our breaths and began to book it.

"Come on Sabrina! We have to hurry!" Danny yelled ahead were Sabrina was. She looked behind her and saw us running at full speed with the horde following us. Her eyes went wide and began to run as well.

There was a small yet well structured house about 27 yards away. "Over there!" I said and pointed to the small house. Danny and Sabrina both nodded and we all headed towards the small house.

It took us about 5 minutes to get to the porch of the house, I tried opening the door almost out of breath from running but the door was locked. "Oh no." I said under my breath and began to jiggle the door knob harder. "Its locked! We can't get in!" I said, still jiggling the door knob. "Then the roof!" Said Danny pointing to the roof. "Hurry!"

Danny bent down and cupped his hands together. Sabrina put her foot onto Danny's hands and he boosted her up onto the roof.  "OK Bridget, you're next hurry and get on the roof." Said Danny re-cupping his hands. "But how will you get on the roof?" I said sounding worried, although Danny was kind of a dumb-ass, I didn't want him to die for us. "You guys will pull me up." Danny said with a weak smile. I nodded and he helped me up on the roof. "OK Danny give us your hands." He reached up and Sabrina and I grabbed one arm and pulled him up. It was really surprising how heavy that kid is even though he is really skinny. We finally got him on the roof just in time.

A few moments later the horde had gotten to the house, they surronded the house and there was no way down. It was only a matter of time before they actually got to us.  We had to think fast if we wanted to live.
