The crowd slowly gathered around us, I looked behind me and saw Danny, the look on his face looked like he was going to die.  Even though he made me angry, I couldn't let him die.  I got closer to him, we were standing back to back.  I swung left and right to anything that came near me, being careful not to hit Danny.

As I was fighting, it came to me.  Why didn't I think of it before? "Danny, cover me for a second, I need to get something out of my backpack.  Danny nodded and swung his baseball bat to the closest zombie next him.  I knelt down and unzipped my backpack, I dug to the bottom, looking and looking.  Finally my hand touched it.  grabbed it and yanked it out of my backpack.  It was a pipe bomb.

I dug in my backpack again looking for my lighter.  I dug and dug until I found the small yellow cigarette lighter.  I flicked my thumb on the knob and a little flame appeared. I held the flame next to the pipe bomb fuse.  The fuse caught fire, the pipe bomb's fuse began to spark.  I pressed a button on the side of the bomb and it began to beep.  I hurry and stood up and threw the pipe bomb away from us.

The zombies began to react to stared heading toward where I had thrown the pipe bomb.  I picked up my backpack and hurry and grabbed Danny's arm and started to sprint down the road toward my little house. "What was that?" asked Danny almost out of breath.  "Pipe bomb, it'll go off any second and we don't want to be anywhere near that thing. It's packed with more gunpowder than a high-powered grenade."  Danny's eyes went large and he began to run faster.

We ran until we were about to pass out.  An old run-down apartment building was very close to us. I pulled him inside with as little noise as possible, though it was hard because we were breathing quite loudly.  My back was pressed against the glass door, I closed my eyes for a few seconds when I heard slow footsteps.  My eyes shot open, I raised my machete.  I was about to attack when I saw light.  Confused I lowered my machete a little bit.  "Hello?" called a really soft voice. A figure appeared out of the door way. It was a girl.

She was tall, thin with big brown eyes. She had a blond hair that we really short, she was holding a black flashlight in her right hand. She was wearing a dark green t-shirt and light red skinny jeans, she also had black and dark gray fingerless gloves.

The flashlight's light dance on the floor until it hit Danny and me. The girl looked shock, her big brown eyes grew bigger.  She slowly walked towards us, "Are you zombies?" She asked. Danny said, "No," putting up his hands "we're not infected.  We didn't think someone-" At that moment the pipe bomb went off.  The fire almost made it to where we are, but doesn't mean the impact didn't.  The glass doors and windows shattered into millions of pieces, Danny and I tucked and rolled out of the way of the glass.  We were on the floor on broken glass, I felt blood dropping off my head and my eyes went black.
