Sabrina, Danny and I were stuck on the roof of a small house trying to figure out a way to get away from the zombies. There was a extremely large crowd clawing at the walls of the house trying to get to us. We've been on the roof for what seemed like hours.
"Can we just wait them out?" Asked Danny. I could hear the desperateness in his voice, there was a very slim chance that we could get out of this alive.
"I don't think that will work," Said Sabrina also having desperateness in her voice.
"Well we can't just sit here." I said getting a little angry.
I crawled to where my backpack was, it was right next to Danny, of course. I extended my arm to grab it when Danny's hand came crashing down on my wrist. I jumped and nearly slid off the roof. Once Danny saw it was me he instantly let go.
"What was that?" I asked, opening my backpack and grabbed a power bar.
"Reflexes..." Danny said off into the emptiness instead of looking at me.
"Whatever..." I said under my breath and took a bite out of my power bar.
I sat there trying to see what Danny was looking at, but all I could see was the streets full of crashed cars and gory body stretched across them. The sight of it made gag, and I hurried and looked away.
Taking a few more bites into my power bar I could feel eyes on me. I looked over to see Danny staring at my power bar. His eyes met mine and he quickly turned away. I sighed and looked through my backpack to find a power bar.
"Here," I said.
Danny looked at my extended arm holding the power bar. He's eyes enlarged and his hand hung in the air. He then took back his hand.
"Are you sure?" Danny said and looked at me, his face full of hunger and sadness. I have never seen Danny like that.
"It's OK, take it." I said and grabbed his arm and put the power bar into his hand.
He looked at it hesitantly, then began to open the wrapper. The crunchy oats and honey on the bar smelled sweet. He took a bite out of it and he instantly relaxed and gathered in the sweetness of the bar.
"Jeez, I didn't know you were so hungry. Why didn't you eat before?" I asked and Danny shrugged his shoulders.
"It never came into mind." He said without looking at me, is eyes were fixed on the horde below. The horde was bigger then I have ever seen before. The zombie just kept coming and coming without end.
My eyes grew large at the sight. I wanted to look away but I couldn't. I put my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. I felt so cold all the sudden no matter what I did I never felt any warmth. I sat there on the roof shivering my ass off, I opened my backpack and found one of my jackets that I always carry around. It was dark purple and had pockets in the front. I quickly put my jacket on and put my knees to my chest again.
I sat there freezing when I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders. I looked up and saw Danny sitting really close to me with one arm around my shoulders. I could help but blush a little. Danny wasn't even looking at me, his eyes were fixed on nothing, just like before.
"You OK?" He asked, still not looking at me.
"I'm a little better." I responded looking at his face, it seemed...perfect, for one second. I quickly looked away.
"Bridget..."
The sound made me jump. I turned my head to see what Danny needed but was blocked by a kiss. My eyes were open, the thought of Danny and me together made me want to puke, but I could pull away. My eyes began close slowly, the pleasure of his soft lips against mine was unbearable. The feelings going through me were off the charts, but I sat there and kissed him back. I never wanted it to end, I felt like it was never going to end, and it shouldn't. This is what I wanted. Is it? My mind was to scrambled to even think. All I wanted was this.
