"A-Avyaan?" Himadri uttered, too stunned to react to the pain in her ankle. "Didu? Doctor kade jauya, kiti sujlay tujha pay!" Avyaan uttered in panic whereas Rishi had already sensed the depth of the situation and left, giving the siblings some space.
(Didu? Let's go to the doctor, your leg is swelling a lot!)"Didu?" Avyaan said shaking Himadri a bit noticing that she is still on her spot. Himadri flinched, "huh?" She seemed clueless, zoned out when suddenly Avyaan hugged her tightly.
Himadri, as soon as she realized, pushed Avyaan away from her, "Avyaan! Kay krtoys tu itha? Me tula bolle hote na mala shodhayla nako yeus! Kalat nahi tula?!"
(What are you doing here? I had told you to not find me! Don't you understand?!)Himadri had tears in her eyes, as she went on scolding Avyaan. Avyaan on the other hand remained still knowing it was not Himadri but her fear, saying all this. "Didu! Didu! Shh, calm down... scold me later okay? Let's go home first, we need to treat your sprained ankle too!"
Himadri was still not in her sensed as she agreed mindlessly. "Let me just call Advika and tell her." She uttered but Avyaan ignored it and slowly helped her walk towards their wada. As soon as Himadri saw the Kulkarni wada in front of her, she started realizing the situation, getting back in her senses.
"Avyaa-" Avyaan cut her in middle, "It's Avy for you didu! Tu kadhi pasun mala purna navane bolvayla lagi?!" Himadri was shocked to see that Avyaan was not angry on her, he was still her same younger brother whom she left 4 years ago.
(From when did you start calling me by my name?)Himadri tried to smile but failed and tears rushed down her cheeks. "Aaji, how is she?" Himadri asked, as she made sure to fulfill all the medical needs of her grandmother even when she was away.
*Aaji - Grandmother"She's fine, but pretty upset with you! Now that you're back, make it upto her..." Avyaan said casually whereas more tears fell down her eyes. "A-Avy, I can't stay here... I'll go b-back to the ap-apartment." She said holding her sobs.
Avyaan pulled her in ignoring her previous words and made her sit on the couch. Wiping her tears gently, he offered her a glass of water to help her calm down. "Nako radu evdha! Makeup kharab hoil... hadal dis shil!"
(Don't cry this much! Your makeup will get ruined... you'll look like a witch!)And our crybaby cried more, not being able to digest how Avyaan is being so normal with her despite the mistake she had committed 4 years ago. "I'm sorry, i- I'm so sorry A-avy! I don't de-deserve this f-family... I'm so b-bad!!" She cried kneeling down, holding his hands.
"What the hell are you doing Himadri Kulkarni?! ARE YOU IN YOUR SENSES?" He shouted making Himadri flinch and break down. As Avyaan realized he quickly bent down to her level and hugged her murmuring sorries to shout on her.
She kept crying loudly, sobbing and wailing. "That's enough didu! Come on breathe, shhh! Breathe!" He kept shushing her and whispering soft nothings in her ear. "Bas zala didu! Nantar trass hoil... kalat nahi tula?!" Avyaan said sternly only to get a fierce look and a whack on his head from her. Well she never likes when someone stops her from crying.
(It's enough didu! Later you will fall ill... why don't you understand?!)"Okay sorry, now get up! Aaji la bhetun ghe, kahitari kha mag zopu apan, it's past 10" Himadri hummed and got up, the pain in her ankle long forgotten. After meeting her grandmother, who failed to recognize her due to her amnesia, and having dinner Himadri and Avyaan went to her old room.
To her surprise, it was the same since the time she left and was clean. She looked ar Avyaan who gestured her to go in and followed her. "I'll change and come." Himadri said as she went to the closet to change.
As the siblings settled on the bed, Avyaan quickly went close to Himadri, keeping his head on her chest, hugging her tightly as if she will vanish if he leaves her. It was his time to get emotional, his time to let go all his emotions he was holding until now and he did.
He broke down...

Himadri woke up first and realized she was still in a sitting position with Avyaan laying on her lap, his cheeks had dried tears. She wiped those gently and kissed his forehead. "Avyaan! Wake up bala... you've to go to school!"
"Mmmm" He just whined, snuggling closer to her. It's been a pretty long time since he had whined to get up. "Avy! Get up my champ... I'll make your favorite ukdiche modak for your tiffin!" She tempted him and it worked! He woke up and hugged her, burying his face in her chest.
"I missed you~" He uttered making Himadri feel guilty. "Same here!" She whispered. "Chalo, utha ata! Me shalela sodte aaj..." She pulled away from the hug and cupped his face, giving him a long kiss on his forehead.
(Come on, wake up now! I'll drop you to school today...)He nodded excitedly and went to the washroom while Himadri prayed to Bappa before getting up from bed and went to her grandmother. Before she could step in her room, someone pulled her behind and slapped her hard. Well it was Shivanya, our fierce IPS aka Vaini!
