Himadri decided to stay in the apartment for a day as she informed Shivanya and Avyaan about the same. Advait slept in his room after Shivanya woke them up and still hadn't woke up.
Advika was all gloomy but Himadri tried her best to make the day cheerful by her childish antics. They sat and fixed a final design for Advika's birthday dress out of the ones Himadri had made and gave it for stitching.
They roamed all over the city, visiting random cafés and enjoying street food. Though Advika was sad to live without her best friend, she still agreed to it because both the girls could visit each other anytime.
"Adu!! We can have sleepovers now... Girls night!!! Ab toh raat mein neend bhi nahi ayegi jab milenge tab, kiti bhari na!!!" Himadri said with excitement as the latter chuckled softly.
(That's so good right!)The girls enjoyed a lot the whole day and by evening, they were just discussing the notes which Himadri missed in these days. She had to join her college soon, being a medical student, she can't miss much lectures.
The day came to an end as the girls embraced a peaceful sleep, filled with pretty dreams and each other's presence. The next morning Advika woke up early, helped Himadri to pack whatever stuff she wanted to carry back home since she decided to leave some things behind and prepared a delicious breakfast.
Himadri had the breakfast with utmost sincerity as her best friend rarely cooks and when she does, it amazing!! "Sun na Hima! Diwali aa rhi hai, shopping ke liye kab mile??" As Advika mentioned Diwali, Himadri dived into her memories where she used to celebrate this festival at her hometown in Pune with her favorite people.
She didn't know what they were going to do now, she doesn't know if things changed in these four years but replied, "Tu bata lekin sun, hum na Pune jaate hai normally Diwali ke liye, a-ab mujhe pata nahi woh log kya karenge but if we go toh tu bhi chal na humare saath!"
All the memories of her celebrating the festival of brightness together began clouding her mind as the only thought that came to her mind was she ruined each and everything as she left her family.
Those thoughts were haunting her. Though Shivanya and Advait are there to protect her, she started feeling the need of her brother. The need for the warmth Shiwalik gave her.
She suddenly started missing everything and all she wanted was his presence. "A-adu! Mai nikalti hu... A-Avy and Bhabhi would be waiting f-for me." She stuttered and left quickly.
As soon as she reached the Kulkarni Wada, she left everything in near the door and rushed to Shiwalik's room, the only place which atleast has a ounce of his presence. She entered the room and stood at the entrance. She couldn't dare to walk in because according to her she had made grave mistakes that were unforgivable.
"Dada..." She whispered. "Dada mala he sagla nahi sahan hot ahe. They threatened me that if I don't leave you, they'll harm all my loved ones. I left but still lost you. Mala khup bhiti vattiye, please come back!! I need you, I don't feel safe to even roam around like a carefree person." She leaned backwards towards the door and slid down.
(Brother I'm not able to bear all this.
I'm feeling anxious)She was indeed overwhelmed by everything but her eyes didn't shed a drop of tear. The day she returned was the day she cried her heart out and promised that she won't cry anymore. She doesn't deserve to when she was the one to hurt people, she was the culprit not the victim.
She brought her knees close to her chest as she felt her anxiety rising gradually. "Dada, I need you... please! I don't know how to calm myself in situations like these, come back!" She kept whispering it like a mantra.
