TW: Suicide
This is based off the episode where Marjorie and Charlotte had the fight.
Charlotte was at the bar, still sitting there, wishing she was home. And not as in home in her house, but home, with Mia. Charlotte had a sudden hit of hatred for Mia. Had Mia not came into her life, Marjorie and Charlotte would've never had this fight. If Charlotte was as strong as she wanted to be, she'd be able to take off her ring and tell Marjorie about her divorce. Instead, she sat in silence. She knew Mia wasn't coming. She knew it. Sarah, a local and well-known worker at the bar came over. "Can I get you anything else Char-" She was cut off when Charlotte placed some money on the bar and left. She didn't want to move, but she didn't want anything else. She left her car in the parking lot and walked off. She didn't know she walked past Marjorie and Reece's house, where Mia was stood, trying to figure out where Charlotte was, and was explaining everything happening to Charlotte. Marjorie suddenly felt so guilty, not knowing Char was going through a divorce, and she fell into Reece's arms. Reece looked outside and saw Charlotte just leaving the road, heading to a well-known place amongst the town. "No, no, no, no, no!" Reece panicked, leaving Mia and Marjorie in shock, he didn't even explain what was happening before he ran to the window. "Reece?" Mia looked at Marjorie, who was equally confused.
Charlotte didn't want to feel anything anymore, she thought Mia wasn't coming, she didn't know Mia was even in town. Charlotte walked towards a bridge and stared at the water below her. She had nothing to lose at the time. She didn't want to leave everyone she knew behind, but she had no choice. She climbed over the railing and closed her eyes.
Meanwhile, Reece was panicking finding his keys. "Darling, what's wrong, what's going on?" Marjorie tried to calm Reece down. "Charlotte! She's- she's going to the bridge!" Reece was still trying to find his keys. Marjorie and Mia froze. The problem with that bridge, it was the local suicide bridge. If anyone wanted to kill themselves, they'd go straight there. Mia took Reece and Marjorie's arms. "My car." She rushed outside, followed by the other two and they sped off, breaking every road rule on the way. Charlotte undid her hair, letting it fall down her back. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and just as she was about to jump. "Stop!" She heard a familiar voice, which caused her to open her eyes and look behind her. Mia. Her one true love. "Mi- Mia?" Charlotte tried to keep herself from crying, Mia running up. "Stop! I'll do it- I'll jump! I will jump if you move closer!" Everyone stopped moving, not wanting to watch their friend and girlfriend jump off a bridge to her death. Mia was the closest, followed by Reece, then Marjorie. "Baby, please, let's talk about this." Without meaning to, Mia took a step forwards, which Charlotte noticed, as did Reece. Reece quickly sprinted towards Charlotte. "No! Charlotte! Don-." Before Reece could finish, Charlotte jumped, keeping her word. The fall felt long, she closed her eyes as she heard the screams and shouts of those above. She didn't care anymore. She'd lost everyone she thought cared. It took her a moment to realize; she didn't lose everyone. She had Mia, and Carly. She had her girls, who she'd no longer see, she had Reece, who'd just seen her jump. She had her best friend, who watched her jump, her girlfriend. She noticed she wasn't alone, she just felt like it. She didn't open her eyes, only smiled and she hit the bottom.
Reece, Marjorie and Mia jumped into Mia's car and drove down, praying Charlotte had somehow survived. Mia was in literal tears, her eyesight was getting blurry, but that didn't stop her. She was desperate to get to her girlfriend before death. They parked the car, and Mia ran down to find Charlotte. She jumped into the water, grabbing Charlottes body and bringing it to land. Reece and Marjorie finally got down there, to find Mia shaking Charlotte, starting CPR. "Someone call an ambulance! Hurry!" Mia was freaking out. She was pushing on Charlotte's chest and breathing in her mouth. Reece quickly called an ambulance, and it came quick. Minutes felt like hours as they waited in the hall. All Mia could do was cry, and Marjorie went to comfort her. She knew this was all her fault, and now she just caused multiple people harm because of it. Reece saw a worker walk out and got the girls attention. "She's in a coma, there's a low chance of survival, but she could wake up with the right treatment." The worker quickly walked back in, and Reece immediately took Mia to his chest. Mia broke down, her true love was in a coma and had a high chance of death. She didn't want to accept it. If only she'd gotten there faster, would she have been able to save her?
Weeks went by, months, and Mia was losing hope. She never left the hospital once, and when people went to visit, they'd find Mia there, staring at Charlotte's body. She didn't want to accept it. She didn't want to accept that her girlfriend would die. She knew she would. She knew Charlotte was going to die. She just didn't want to accept. Reece and Marjorie came up, followed Winter and Autumn. The 4 stood there, looking at Mia. Throughout the Knight's childhood, not once did Autumn or Reece see Mia like this. So helpless and sad. They walked in, Mia didn't even turn to look at them. Autumn and Reece went down beside Mia, in an attempt to make her move, even just to look at them. Nothing. Her eyes were purely focused of Charlotte, looking for any signs of life. Autumn stood beside Mia, not getting in the way of her staring. She shook Mia. "Mia... you've been sitting here, for weeks... are you not tired? Are you not hungry?" Autumn was trying to get Mia to notice her, or anyone in the room, but she didn't listen, she was purely focused on her dying girlfriend. "Mia, you need to go... it's not healthy to stay here... you know this." Reece tried to get her to move. Nothing.
What if Mia had gotten there in time. In time to stop her love?
