Marjorie was lying in bed, sobbing. Her and Reece had just broken up after a heated argument, thank God she hadn't moved out yet. She was sobbing into her pillow; she was used to sobbing into Reece's shoulder, but she couldn't do that, not anymore. Marjorie knew she would have to face him in manager meetings, but that was it, right? She slightly cried herself to sleep, knowing that 9 months of dating had just gone down the drain. Marjorie cried herself to sleep that night, sleeping in one of Reece's hoodies, one he'd forgotten to take back. She wanted to give it back, but she couldn't. She needed something to remind her of him. She'd break otherwise.
Marjorie woke up the next morning and got changed into her normal clothes. She went to work and sat down at her desk, Autumn not looking up to see her. "Hello Mar-" "I'm not in the mood today, Autumn." Autumn looked up; confusion made up her face. Marjorie was always in the mood, like, always, what was different today? Autumn looked at the time and her face was now filled with surprise. Reece was late with her normal coffee, as a matter of fact, she hadn't seen Reece drop Marjorie off at all. Autumn didn't mention it, seeing Marjorie was having an off day, she knew better than to piss her off. This went on for weeks, until Marjorie read an email and groaned. "What's wrong?" Autumn looked over. "A manager meeting." Marjorie rolled her eyes. "What's wrong with that?" Autumn looked confused, usually Marjorie loved manager meetings, she got to see Reece. "Me and Reece broke up a few weeks ago." Autumn's face dropped. Her best friend and her brother broke up!?
(A few months later)
Reece was finally healing and forgot all about Marjorie when he was invited to Mia's and Charlotte's wedding. He was so happy that his childhood and adult best friends were getting married. A few months went by, and the wedding was getting closer. Reece started getting himself ready, choosing his suit, and making a speech just in case. The day had finally arrived, and he was so excited. He put on his gray suit, he combed his hair and all the above. Marjorie had put on her dress, as she had been invited as well, and she'd forgotten about Reece too. Mia was slowly warming up to Marjorie, and Marjorie was warming up to Mia, but Marjorie wanted nothing more than to see her friend get married to the love of her life. Marjorie arrived earlier and sat down in her seat. Everyone slowly started to get into their seats, and the ceremony begun. They were at the after party, when Marjorie had gotten up to get something, and Reece did at the same time. They both get ready to roll their eyes and walk away, when suddenly Enchanted by Taylor Swift came on. They looked at each other, as this was the song they had chosen as their couple song when they had first gotten today. Marjorie broke the stare and walked to the lady's restroom, as she could feel the tears start to blur her vision. Reece followed her, and waited outside, deciding if he should enter the bathroom or not. He remembered dancing with Marjorie to that song, she was probably the biggest swiftie he'd met, apart from Carly. Reece decided to trust his gut, knowing it was probably for the better.
Reece walked inside the bathroom, and Marjorie covered her mouth, in an attempt to hide from him. "Marjorie... It's quite literally only you and me in this bathroom." Reece said, his voice softening. When Marjorie didn't leave, he decided to trick her. He started walking to the door, opening it and closing it. Marjorie fell for the trick and left the stall. She cleared her watery eyes and looked up and froze. Reece was standing right next to the door. Marjorie knew it was too late to try and hide again, so she decided to walk past him. Reece saw her start to walk, and as she was just passing him, he held his arm out, grabbing Marjorie's waist and brought her against him. Marjorie gasped and looked up at him. "Hello you." Reece looked down, not quite seeing one particular emotion. The two stood like that for a while, not entirely knowing what to do. Reece admired Marjorie's looks and wondered what he was thinking of breaking up with her. Marjorie thought the same thing. This man was everything she needed, he loved her, cared for her, was there for her at her lowest, he never made her feel like she wasn't enough, if anything, he made her feel like more than enough. The two stood there for a while, not knowing what to do, surely, they couldn't get back together, right? What would they be thinking if they both got back with each other, wouldn't that just lead to more arguments?
The wedding came to an end, and everyone got back in their cars, but before Char got into the car with her new wife, she walked up to Marjorie. Marjorie turned to face her and was about to congratulate her, until Charlotte stopped her. "Go get your man." Charlotte winked and got into the car with Mia, and they drove off. Marjorie was stunned. Her best friend just told her to get back with Reece? Autumn and Reece were standing together, having a final chat. Autumn was about to walk away, when she said her final words before heading off. "Go get Marjorie back. She needs you... she's been a reck without you." Autumn walked off and got in the car, along with Winter. Reece looked over to Marjorie, who had been staring at him. She walked off to go to her car and drove off. Reece had to make the final decision, and got into his car, driving off.
Marjorie unlocked her house and walked inside. Her mind was flooded by Reece's image. She needed him, more than anything at the moment. She got up and went to her bedroom and put on his jumper, the one she'd not returned to him for a while, and just as she'd sat down on the couch, the door unlocked, which was weird. She'd only given the key to one person, which was... "Hey gorgeous..." Reece closed the door behind him and walked over to her. He saw his jumper, very oversized on her. "Is that my jumper? The one that's been missing since we broke up?" Reece chuckled as he moved closer to Marjorie. She nodded, not even trying to hide her face. Reece sat down next to her. "Marjorie, I know we broke up a few months ago, but I was wond-." Reece couldn't finish his sentence before Marjorie climbed on his lap and smashed her lips into his. Reece was shocked at first, then slowly melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around her back, holding her close. They only broke apart when air became an issue. "Please take me back." Marjorie asked, panting hard. Reece only nodded before picking her up and taking her to the bedroom.
They knew they had a long weekend ahead of them.
