Gethen leant against the wall, watching as Gisela paced around the room, occasionally stopping to add notes to the wall.

"You shouldn't pace so much. You're wearing down the carpet. I just replaced them!" Gethen grumbled as he checked the notes.

"101 ways to torture and kill Tam." Gethen read the sticky note. "What in the actual E.L.fudges?"
"Well!" Gisela held up a finger. "Uh. Uhm. He betrayed us! So-"
"ERm. Didn't Keefe also betray us?" Gethen questioned. "So technically-"
"NOPE! My son isn't getting tortured any time."

"So you don't want to kill or torture your son but you are willing to disembowel, stab, decapitate, drown, burn at the stake, hang, poison, strangle,-" He squinted at the list. "Tie a jar to his face and put rats in it and a fire at the other end so they eat through his face, roast in a burning room, boil, harass, leave him in a room full of shadows and trigger a sensory overload while he is in solitary confinement, waterboard, white room torture, exploit phobias, deprive of oxygen, dismember his boyfriend?" Gethen side-eyes Gisela. "I think you need help. And that wasn't even all of the list."

"Fine, you chose one." Gisela flicked her hair. "Or don't. I'll still murder him." Gisela paused for a moment. "Perhaps I can shoot him. Less messy." She adds another note to the list and changes '101' to '102'. "Hah. That annoying ass femboy better watch out."
Gethen snorts.
"Why don't we focus on something more important." He rolled his eyes at Gisela's muttering. "Like getting Fintan out of prison? He might know something about that rebel group you want to know about."

Gisela stopped, turning to Gethen, a grin slowly spreading over her face.
"You know, that is a good idea." She tapped a finger to her face. "Get in touch with Trix and Ruy. Send them to go fetch him. If they need it, tell them that they can take Alvar."
Gethen nodded, heading towards the door.
"Oh, and tell Rayni to come here. I have a... task for her." Gethen paused, to glance over his shoulder.
"Is that all?"
Gisela didn't respond, back to muttering to herself and checking books (and drinking wine straight from the bottle).

Gethen turned again, reeling slightly in the head. His cloak lifted in the air as he walked down the dark and twisting hallways, attempting to search for Trix or Ruy. He stopped next to Rayni's room, knocking on the door with the back of his hand. A responding "coming!" echoed through the quiet hallway and the door opened.

Rayni blinked at him.
"Is there something you need?"
"No, it's just that-" He stopped, noting the bruises on her chin. "Are those bruises?"
Rayni flinched, taking a step backwards.
"I- uhm- fell over..." Gethen frowned, sceptical.
"Oh... Would you want some ice?"
"No, it's fine." She stared at the floor, not meeting his eyes.
"...Okay, well, Gisela would like you to meet her in her office." He narrowed his eyes, noticing her reaction to Gisela's name. Rayni just nodded, and took off down the hallway, probably not wanting to be late.

Gethen sighed. He would have to send the healer down to Rayni to make sure she was okay. He scowled, staring down the hallway. Now he had to find Ruy and Trix. Awesome sauce. Yippee.
