Actually, they were learning. Rána was really helpful these days, and for Peter, she'd do anything anyway. She showed him the easiest way for the solutions, and the man was an eager pupil.
Too fast, they were done with the whole work. Ra would've loved him to stay a bit longer with him, but it wasn't her choice. "Ehm... Tell me, what do you actually think about that graduation ball?", she finally asked with a soft smile.
"Oh, it's..." Peter's cheeks blushed. "I can't dance. For me, it's going to be a catastrophe." The Narnian was obviously totally embarassed. Probably this confession took him quite long, and he was not feeling comfortable at all.
Rána took a deep breath. She had gotten dancing lessons in her younger years, her father Thranduil had been absolutely stubborn about them. A princess should need to dance, had been his words.
So now, instead of asking, the Elvengirl got up, pulling Peter with her. She put one of his hands to her shoulder, the other one crossing with hers. It gave a warm feeling to her, his hands in hers. She needed it. She longed for it. And now she had it.
Peter Pevensie seemed to be a bit confused at first, but when Rána began singing a melody, it began becoming clear for him.
"I... I can't", he muttered. "Your feet will beg for me to stop."
Ra smiled. "I had a terrible dancing partner once. Just trust me, and close your eyes. One, two, three..."
The music was sounding in her head, as she sang it out loud.
When Peter closed his eyes, her heart began melting. Yes. Maybe there still was a chance."We're... Going to fix that all", Rhawen decided, absolutely sure about her words. I promise you that we will all find a solution, and you will go to the ball with the one you like. And if you need to ask him by yourself."
Murmurs were to hear all around. A girl asking a boy? That was not meant to be. "See, it's not that hard: I'll talk to Peter and Caspian, Ra can be trusted with Legolas, and yeah... We'll arrange it all. But for the first, I dissolve this. It's way too much."
She shielded her head with her hands. After a few minutes before everyone realized, they went outside to have a little chat."Breathe deeply, girls", Syllfinelle tried to comfort them. "I am sure it's going to be..."
Suddenly, some boys of the Middle-Earth gang came walking by. It was Bard, Legolas and Aragorn, together with their friend Thorin.
"Elrawien!", shouted Bard. He had obviously drunken a bit too much, or was just in a hurry. "Do you wanna go to the ball with me?"
Wilwarin's eyes widened. Bard. The man he loved, the man he thought would have feelings for her, would not go with her.
It was too much. Silver wanted to hold her back, but when Rána's sister ran away, she could not be stopped.
Elra looked after her friend. In her eyes, there was a little tear shining.
"No Bard, I'm sorry. I wanted to go with someone else..." She mentioned to not look at Legolas, although his eyes lay on her, something glittering in them.
Suddenly, Indiriël realized Thorin handing over a little coin to Aragorn. Something was really really wrong here.------
Oh gosh, that took hella long.
I'll try more updates in the future! :D
