okay I figured I'm gonna stop being annoying and starving you guys of content, so here's a chapter I scrapped, it's only half finished but ye
learn Valkyrie came downstairs, she was sopping wet, she slumped on the chair just as skulduggery came over with a cup of tea, and put it in front of her
"feeling any better" he asked as he lifted the water out of her hair, and she took a sip of her tea
"a little" she said glancing at the clock, it was a little past nine pm, Valkyrie pondered how it had gotten so late, they had left the house around 10, and had arrived back nearly 12 hours later,
she just decided to let it go mainly because she really wasn't looking for an argument, and partially because she didn't care at all
Valkyrie groaned and laid her head on the table
"I don't feel very good" she muttered
"you should probably get some rest" he said
no response, she had fallen asleep again, skulduggery sighed and put whatever he was doing down, walked over to her, and carried her gently up into her room, and laid her on the bed, the walked out, prepared to do absolutely nothing for the next 8 hours
he was walking around aimlessly when he heard very loud breathing coming from Valkyries room, he walked in intent on teasing her, but instead found her hyperventilating while she was hugging herself with her arms and rocking back and forth slightly
"hey" he said softly (does anyone hate when like in sp fanfics how everyone calls Valkyrie val, I felt like in the books that was always special to tanith and Valkyrie relationship, idk but it really gets on my nerves 😭)
"hey" she said
"How are you" he asked
"not so hot at the moment" she said
"that sucks" he said
"it really really does"she said
"it would appear that way" he said
"yeah" she said
"yeah" he said
skulduggery grabbed one of Valkyries hands and rubbed it with his thumb in a soothing manner
(does anyone else hate the word soothing, idm like moist, but I HATE the word soothing)
they sat in silence for a moment and this is we're I got to, this took like TWO BLOODY HOURS ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY
