The sun rose above the skies, its pink and orange light illuminating the room through the window drapes. Tessa shifted under the covers comfortably as she aimed to sleep more.

It has been a long time since she last slept so beautifully. At first, it was hard to sleep as she worried about that handsome man coming back. She didn't know where she was or why she was there, and it scared her a bit.

That didn't mean she wouldn't enjoy the comfortable life before she died. Somehow, she had this feeling that she would soon be killed, and it weighed heavily on her shoulders. She thought she wouldn't sleep at all.

She had fallen asleep worrying about what awaited her the next day. Tessa knew that she wouldn't be able to fight any these men around her. She was trying to buy time to remember; if only her memories could come back. She didn't want to die without knowing who she really was. Tessa just hoped that her obedience would buy her more time.

She felt at peace when no one entered the room, especially that handsome man. Even though the way the room was decorated showed it was his, she just hoped he wouldn't come back, which was a bit harsh. She blinked her eyes open and slowly sat up. Tessa admired the beauty of the huge room. It was truly vast, with a couch against the wall next to the balcony doors and a wine cellar on the opposite wall facing the couch.

She noticed the black piano by the small wine cellar with a glass door and the furry brown carpet underneath it. The bed was in the middle of the room, and on the other side, there were two doors. One must be the bathroom, but she wasn't sure what the other one was.

Tessa sat up in bed with a sigh. She thought that no one was around until the bathroom door opened, and he stepped out. He had a towel around his waist, and water dripped down his naked chest from his hair. Tessa sucked in a deep breath and tried to shrink away, if possible. She was really surprised to see him here, but he, on the other hand, didn't seem to care as he walked over to the bedside table and opened its lower safe.

He grabbed another gun and placed it on the bed, then stood back on his feet and walked toward the other door in the room. Tessa was left staring at the gun. Was he going to kill her now? Was that why he had brought out the gun? She felt her insides shudder, and a shiver rushed down her spine.

He walked out, buttoning up his white long-sleeved shirt, and then added a black blazer over it. Simeon knew that she was watching him, but he wanted to see what she would do next. He walked toward the bed and picked up the gun; he checked the magazine and then turned to her.

Her eyes were glistening with silent tears, and her doe-like eyes watched him. He noticed her fingers wrapped tightly around the bed sheet, her knuckles almost turning white.

"Come here," Simeon ordered coldly, and a sweat broke out on her forehead. Now she was sure he was going to kill her. Her wide eyes darted to the gun and then raised to his cold face. Simeon could easily guess what was going through her mind, and he didn't bother to correct her.

"Be quick; I have things to do," he said, his deep voice pulling her out of her thoughts. Even though he looked patient, he didn't seem patient at all. The fact that she was slow to respond was starting to get on his nerves.

Tessa slowly raised herself on all fours and crawled toward him, kneeling in front of him on the bed. Simeon grabbed her wrist more harshly than intended and placed the black gun in her palm. Tessa froze when the cold material came into contact with her fingers; her baby blue eyes widened.

"Do you know how to use it?" he questioned, and her wide gaze darted away from the gun to his expressionless face.

"Keep this," he said, and with no further words, he turned around and left the room. Tessa's hand trembled as her fingers wrapped around the gun. Did he trust her enough to place a gun in her hand? What if she used it against him, or was this a test?

Tessa frowned as she thought about last night; he hadn't touched her and had let her sleep in his bed. She was now cautious and curious. In her eyes, he was like a time bomb, and soon he would hurt her. Tessa realized that she enjoyed the little peace she had been given before her fate changed. This was far beyond what she had expected.

Tessa stood up from her bed and slowly made her way toward the bathroom. She was eager to remove the skimpy dress they had made her wear.

She didn't know if she was allowed to use his bathroom, but her body urgently needed a shower; she wanted to clean up. Simeon leaned back in his chair, staring at his right-hand man sitting in front of him.

"Any news?" Simeon asked, lighting the cigarette that was between his lips.

"She's Teresa Mauretti, age 23, heiress to the GT Group of Companies and worth billions. Her parents died three months ago, and she has been in the hospital since then. Her company was handed over to her uncle, her father's brother, but now he's trying so hard to change the ownership of the property to his name."

"She told me her name was Tessa," Simeon spoke up, throwing the cigarette into the ashtray.

"She lost her memory; she probably doesn't know that she's worth millions," Rafael replied, then sipped from the glass of wine in his hand.

"Is she like Leona?" Rafael asked, and Simeon shook his head. He wanted to say that she was different but then clamped his lips shut.

"Keep an eye on the old man."

"Yes, boss," Rafael replied, then downed the rest of his drink and left immediately.

Simeon turned around and grabbed the blue file on his desk, opening it, but he just couldn't read anything in it. So, the girl in his room was the heiress of the famous GT Group of Companies; holding her here was risky. If one day she dared to remember, then he wouldn't be able to hold her captive anymore. He wondered if the old man had found out about this because if he really had, then he would try to kill her before she remembered.
